Ground floor room with shower, compact one small wardrobe, no kng size bed which nowadays are pretty well standard, my bedside table collapse, cheap self assembly. The Hotel as steps at entrance and steps inside to bar and dining room. Rather small lift to other floors. Breakfast self service for hot & cold food, down steps to dining room, meals average neither good or bad. We think they are packing too many Coach Tours at one time, causing meal times to be variable and not consistent.

We popped in just before 7:30 on a Wednesday night wanting something to eat. The lady with short hair and glasses working behind the bar wasn't the friendliest or welcoming of staff I'd met during my last 10 days in Cornwall. Anyway I ordered rump steak medium and my husband ordered the beef lasagne. When the food was served, my husband had been given a vegetable lasagne instead of the meat one ordered. He went to see the lady behind the who said that the chef had ran out so that's what you have been given. No option for anything else or anything. My steak was not cooked medium but instead rare, and peas were stone cold. When the said bar lady came over to the table I said how disappointed we were and asked why we were not given the choice for something else off of the menu. She simply said she just serves the food, its nothing to do with her and only relays what's given from the kitchen. I said an apology would have been nice and that someone should have taken ownership of the situation. Clearly she couldn't care less, after all we had already paid. She done nothing to rectify the situation and did not even apologise. Infact her response was which was actually more like a threat was that if we stick around long enough we could meet the landlord. So we finished our drink and left. It is a basic to order and get the correct item but it would seem they will just serve you anything here no matter what you ordered.

El hotel no tiene nada que ver con el lujo de 5 estrellas, sino con una serie de problemas cuando llegamos a la persona que la poseía nunca volvió a mí mientras estabamos allí o cuando volvimos a casa. El hotel me dio un bono gesto de reembolso. Donde comenzar - el ventilador de extracción en el baño no se desactivó incluso cuando se desactivó la luz tan ruidosa. Especialmente como junto a ambos dormitorios. No hay ganchos en la parte de atrás en las puertas de la habitación o en la puerta de la baño. Las camas en la habitación gemela se movieron constantemente alrededor. Las lámparas en la habitación se cayeron constantemente. Las ropas habían sido dejadas en la habitación. El refugio en la habitación principal estaba detrás de la puerta! El lavavajillas estaba muy oloroso. El caldero se mantuvo ahogado. La mesa/silla de banco era la original que el hotel puso cuando poseía las propiedades. Se necesitaba descienderse y lavarse como estaba en un estado terrible si queríamos usarlo - lo que hicimos como el tiempo era bueno, pero no lo hicimos. El sofá en el salón fue extremadamente incómodo porque era un sofá y las cuchillas de asiento vienen constantemente hacia adelante. Drenador de rosca. Lavado barato líquido izquierdo - básicamente todo sobre este apartamento fue barato aparte de la estancia de la semana. No sería posible quedarse de nuevo. Pero el hotel era muy bueno - simplemente no podía arreglar nada como tuvieron que obtener la aprobación de los propietarios que no respondieron a mí o al hotel - muy pobres hosteses!

Recomendación de cinco estrellas, excelente ubicación, invencible vista al mar, desayuno incluido, principalmente el paisaje es muy bueno, justo al lado de la estación de tren, hay una pequeña calle hacia el restaurante, el bar y el bar tienen vistas al mar, hay un terraza grande afuera, sentarse puede tomar el té de la tarde, sentarse en el bar y beber por la noche, contemplando el paisaje marino afuera. La habitación que reservé era pequeña, pero no estaba mal. También proporcionaba zapatillas y albornoces, toallas de baño, etc. Era muy conveniente bajar a la playa por unos minutos. Era el hotel más recomendado al lado de la playa y era relativamente nuevo.

Como dice el título, esta es la segunda vez que he estado en este gran B&B, después de haber estado aquí en 2018. Mirando de nuevo mi revisión, mis comentarios son ahora bastante los mismos, sin quejas de una agradable estancia de unas semanas. En primer lugar, el B&B está en un lugar excelente.A unos diez minutos a pie de la estación de tren de Carbis Bay (que te lleva a St Ives en minutos o un poco más a St Erth, que está en la línea principal de Penzance a Londres y más allá). A few minutes longer and you are on the beach. A bus stop right opposite with regular buses into St Ives or one a few minutes walk that can take you further afield (the coaster to Padstow, for example). El desayuno era continental, pero con muchas opciones, incluyendo frutas, pasteles, diversos cereales, yogur, tostadas, waffles, etc... servicio de autoservicio en todo excepto el té, que el propietario Adrian ofrece si lo solicita. El desayuno se prolonga durante unas horas, desde las 8:00 a las 10:00, lo que ofrece flexibilidad y debería ser bueno para la mayoría de las personas. Adrian es amable y útil, se ingresa con todos al desayuno y cuando le golpea durante el día. Lo que buscas cuando te quedas en un B&B. Como he señalado cuando escribí un comentario en 2018, es obvio que está orgulloso de lo que hace, lo que ayuda a hacer la estancia más agradable. En general, un B&B excelente.

Amazing location, our balcony room was overlooking the stunning Porthminster beach, the room felt very luxurious and the dressing gowns are a lovely touch. It has been my mums dream to stay here, and she wasn’t disappointed. Kellie and the team looked after mum from the minute we arrived until we left. We ate in the dining room on the first night and the food was outstanding. The breakfast had a good continental choice as well as a varied hot menu. The staff deserve another mention, we felt so looked after by everyone, they are always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Kellie and your lovely team - I can’t wait for my return in April with my husband to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Mum is also looking to return soon too 😊
