They were so nice! Because I arrived early, I was ready to wait for a room. But they said a guest had missed their flight and not checked out. They asked if I would take a lower grade room and they would pay for the cab to the airport and fix me a takeaway breakfast since I was leaving at 5:30am. Sure! Only one night, my room without windows has a '"cooler" not refrigerator but a note on it said I could keep food in kitchen if necessary. Not needed but thoughtful. The room was adorable and I took a nap before heading out and exploring the streets that evening. Very safe, interesting shops and eateries nearby. Would definitely stay again.

The story of why you should avoid this place: - we booked a deluxe room with balcony 2 months in advance on an app and they overbooked it and tried to give us a very small, smelly and no balcony (or any view) room at the same price when we arrived - the receptionist tried to tell us that is somehow our fault (??) and he was very rude. He said they overbooked on purpose as some people book but don’t show (??) - why do we even book then?! Also I told them on the app multiple times before arriving that we are on our way and we were not late or anything. It was just very weird - the room was not changed to the one we actually paid for and we only stayed 1 night - it was dirty, full of mold, the sink was broken, no windows to the outside (just to a wall between buildings), cold in the room, dusty, the toilet got clogged after we used it once. Water was leaking from the toilet too when we arrived and there was no hot water to shower. - they gave us (after we complained) a small amount of money back (as we didn’t get what we booked) and the receptionist said he would give us more money back if we cancel the reservation on the app :) (this was of course so I could not leave a bad review but my review has no price unfortunatelly for him so we didn’t cancel) - other minor things were that we were not told there is a lift and it is not that obvious so we had to take the stairs to the 5th floor with our luggage, the breakfast was plenty but the chairs in the dining room were very dirty. The lights were not working when we got in the room and we had to switch them on by the electric panel. Water is infiltrated in all the walls and they are all wet. There was a “complimentary” sign near the phone (does that mean the phone calls are complimentary? Have no idea), the filters for the AC were very old but we had to use it to warm up the room a bit. Also the walls are very thin and you can hear the guests in other rooms perfectly. When entering the room, half of the entrance door is covered by a wall. As a host myself and (I want to think) a pretty understanding guest, I am very mad and sad that this kind of services exist. I am not the type to leave a bad review for minor things, but this was a horrible experience from start to finish. The receptionist was very unprofessional, the place very dirty and not well maintained - just a big scam. I bet the other rooms look also bad, but with balcony :) As I expect the hotel to respond and say that this is not true, please don’t bother as I have proof of everything as I took photos and I have proof of my original room reservation. This is not how you do tourism, sorry.

Stayed in 6th floor: Spacious room, comfortable bed, perfect hot water, quite place, good for sleep, clean in general. Very helpful staff. Provided two small water bottles for each person(other hotels was given 1 only). Dropping water in toilet ( on top of WC). Side window not closing properly. Bathroom/toilet abit outdated. Will i come back? Yes.

On the 10th of October 2023, we checked into the hotel and checked out on the 13th of October 2023. Our reservations were made through *********** (Which we had to cancel as instructed by the hotel staff) for one deluxe room and one balcony room. Unfortunately, our three-night stay at this establishment was perhaps the only disappointing experience during our entire trip to Vietnam, as each night presented new issues. Firstly, don't believe in the pictures you see and keep your hopes high. While the rooms are decent, the photos available on the booking websites appear to be taken with wide-angle lenses, which may set unrealistic expectations. Prior to our check-in, we maintained ongoing communication with one of the staff members, Kevin. However, he failed to convey the information that one of the reserved rooms would not be available on our first day of the stay. It was only during the check-in process that we were informed of this situation. Initially, he proposed that we stay in a nearby hotel of their arrangement for the first night instead of the deluxe room that we had initially booked. He assured us that for the subsequent two nights, we would be upgraded to the balcony room. Regrettably, the room in the adjacent hotel was below standard, I have attached a photo for reference. The air conditioning unit lacked a cover and emitted a constant, loud noise. When we reported this issue, the response we received was that the cooling function was adequate, so the noise was deemed acceptable. Upon returning to Labevie Hotel the following day, we were given a deluxe room, not the promised upgrade to the balcony room which we had to accept. However, at midnight, the air conditioning unit in this room also malfunctioned. We informed the reception, but due to language barriers, it was challenging to convey the issue effectively. A staff member attempted to repair the air conditioning unit, which subsequently malfunctioned once more after his departure. Later on, a fan was provided for the remainder of the night. The hotel next morning offered a refund or a discount in acknowledgment of these mishaps. The final day of our stay proved to be disastrous. The offered refund or discount was completely declined. Instead, they proposed to provide us with an airport drop-off service. Upon check-out, we instructed the hotel staff to bring our luggage from our room and keep it at the reception as our flight was scheduled for late at night as we would be outside at that time. As we returned to the hotel prior to our flight, we discovered that one of our backpacks, containing a work laptop, was missing. When we reported this, the hotel staff denied the existence of the backpack and were uncooperative in allowing us to review the entire CCTV footage. They treated us as if we were lying and even requested us to open our other luggage on suspicion of hiding the laptop or backpack. Labevie Hotel located at a strategic location in Old Quarter Hanoi. It is walking distance to Night Market and several groceries shop. The hotel receiption speak good English and they are helpful enough. Smooth Check in and Check out process but unfortunately, the bed and mattress not really comfortable. The mattress very thin and just like a layer of thin duvet cover. Pillow a bit smelly and dusty. hopefully they can improve this for the comfy of the guest. Luckily we stayed here for one night only.

This was our 1st hotel on our 4 week travels of SE Asia. So glad we chose the hotel, excellent location, staff were super friendly and helpful and the room was perfect,clean and comfortable. The breakfast offering was small in choices but plentiful, the eggs and pancakes were great! We loved the fact the hotel was so near to various restaurants, shops and attractions. We really enjoyed our stay here even though it was just for 1 night. We would definitely use again.
