Island Sunrise Condos by Hosteeva

Condo was very clean and comfortable and had all amenities. Wished someone had left instructions on how the three remote controls worked with each other on the TVs. Loved the fact it had two balconies and the location was perfect. Had stayed several years before and this experienced was exactly as I remembered. It was great!

The condo we stayed in was ok, the queen bed was comfy but the pull out bed not so much. The building could use some up grades but it is in the beach which is nice .

We stayed in unit 563. We never had trouble finding a parking spot although the managing company did reach out to me several times to ask how many parking passes I would need. I told them the same number each time, they do watch to make sure parking is not an issue. The entry into the building is not impressive but the condo we had was comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were quick to respond to any questions I had. It took a few phone calls to the managing company to get the necessary paperwork changed when I had to change departure date. Ours was 2 bed and 2 bath which worked great. The front bedroom was a bunk with a large bottom bed. Living room had a couch and two other chairs, table for 4 and bar with stools. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach access right by the condo. Sea n suds just a few building down and within walking distance of Pink Pony, the Hangout and shopping. My only complaint would be the cleaning. The beds were crisp and clean but the floor was not. The coffee table and backs of the kitchen chairs as well as the bar stools had smears of food all over them. I wiped them down and they looked so much better. Some of the dishes also needed washed. I assume the managing company hires the cleaning service and this has nothing to do with the owners. There is a market near and a Walmart not too far away by car. The view is amazing.

Stayed here in March 2021: *non smoking room was clearly smoked in before we got there. Mgmt sent an odor bomb and told us to set it off while we were gone. No chance, we just toughed it out, rather than having to cover all our stuff while we set it off. Should have been offered a different room. *Maintenance can get in whenever they want/don’t wait long enough after knocking before letting themselves in. (There isn’t a security latch on many of these vacation rentals)They came into the room 3 times without calling first. One of the times we were taking a nap with a toddler who is hard to get to sleep. They knocked and we jumped out of bed to try to get there to answer and they had already let themselves in, waiting not more that 7 seconds after the knock. Think about this In the perspective of if you’re in the shower or going to the bathroom. You’re not getting to the door before a stranger is already in the room. Another time we went to the room to get lunch and a maintenance guy was in the room measuring something when we got there. It’s simply unnerving not knowing when your privacy would be violated. *various safety/maintenance concerns(pictures included) 1.) balcony door, doorknob lock didn’t work and there was a jury rigged security bolt installed, which was falling apart. We shoved a chair in front of the door when not using the balcony to be sure the toddler couldn’t get out onto the balcony. 2.) One receptacle didn’t have a plate on it, and another was loosely hanging on the wall.
