Ho pernottato in questo hotel per spezzare il lungo viaggio da nord a sud si tratta di un'appendice dell'hotel che lo affianca ”Grand hotel duca d'Este ****” problemi riscontrati, rumori notturni tipo ascensore che sale e scende ininterottamente probabilmente guasto, rumore insopportabile del tipo scarico detriti dal tetto, camera lato strada con finestre non insonorizzate difficile dormire con tutti questi rumori; puzza in camera, bagno senza prodotti, doccia molto piccola. Bene il parcheggio e la receptionist.

Llego a la noche a media hora (h. 1:30) de vuelta de un viaje internacional, con cambio de horario, sólo espero poder dormir un poco. En cambio ya el horario impuesto para el checkout (el 10 de la mañana, A las 2:30, un grupo de personas que se encuentran en otras habitaciones del pasillo, hombres y mujeres maduras, se evacuaría de las voces que sonan entre las paredes. A la voz alta, desean la buena noche, dando cita a mañana. Dos de ellos no quieren saber de y tirar, siguen bromeando en el pasillo, luego quizás tienen problemas con la puerta de la habitación, la golpean, comentan, Y luego, tengo que abrir mi puerta y pedirles que dejen de hacerlo con todo ese baúl, no estamos en la plaza a mediodía. Volveré a dormir, entre tanto, se han hecho las tres y en algún momento puedo dormir. Aquí está explicada la principal causa de esos ruidosos golpes que se sentían! No hay delicadeza, ni acortamiento para quién podría estar en la cama. En definitiva, no sólo tuve la desgracia de vivir con una clientela mal educada y ruidosa (y aquí no es culpa del hotel, pero no se asegura de recomendar el silencio en los corredores), Pero también hay la despertar de 8:15 que hace que no se recomienda la estancia a quienes necesitan un descanso real. Por el resto, ubicación digna, servicio de recepción amable, relación calidad/precio en línea con los exos estándar romanos.

El hotel está bastante lejos del centro, en metro de llega bien, pero la zona es bastante sucia. Como pegas del hotel diría que no hay enchufes cerca de la cama, que la ducha no se sujeta y que hay una luz encendida toda la noche lo que hace que tengas que cerrar toda la persiana entera. En el resto de sentidos el hotel es un oasis en un desierto, muy limpio, muy amables y muy cómodo.

This is actually quite a difficult hotel to rate, simply because it is so very unusual. The first impression is that the entire building has been left stuck in a time warp, somewhere between 1940 and 1960, and that nothing has been done to it for the past 70 years or so. But first impressions can be misleading, and this one, I think, was. It obviously has been a very grand hotel in its day, and still retains many quite grand features. It has also had quite a lot done to it as time passed, since basically its rooms and their amenities are actually well up to modern standards, although they may not look as if they are. That is what the visitor needs to get over. It is difficult to take a place seriously that looks, everywhere, so very, very art deco. But actually, this is a very good hotel. It is quiet, comfortable and central, and has just about everything you would want (unless you’re an anglophone, that is, but more of that later). Using our usual rating system it comes out very highly on almost everything. Location Perfect, if Tivoli Terme is what you’re after. The shops, bars, station, and Spa Treatment centre are all within a few minutes’ walk. Having said that, there really isn’t anything much at Tivoli Terme these days. Its heyday as a spa resort seems to be well over. We settled on this hotel as a centre to visit Tivoli itself, and its gardens and Roman remains etc., but the location for that turned out to be less than perfect. Tivoli is much further away than you think, and you are reliant on buses or trains or expensive taxis to get there. Again, more of that later. Reception Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. Speak perfect English and don’t pretend not to understand my, admittedly, less than perfect Italian. Accommodation Our suite was possibly the largest we have ever stayed in, far bigger than the flat we lived in when we were first married. It was a little daunting at first, in that all the furniture was in the same art deco style and looked a little worse for wear. It had obviously been of the highest quality when new, but was showing signs of its age. In practice, however, it was surprisingly comfortable, the room was extremely quiet, and we had no problems. Not with the furniture, that is. There were two drawbacks, however. First was the TV, which was absolutely enormous, but did not have a single channel in English on it, not even BBC World or CNN. Bring your laptop with a VPN and Iplayer/ITVX if you want to watch any English programmes. The wifi is free and worked perfectly while we were there. More serious was the complete absence of any tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and the refusal of reception to supply any on health and safety grounds. Having said that, they do a very acceptable pot of tea in the bar, at a very reasonable price, but you don’t always want to be bothered, do you? Ficamos no hotel no feriado de Páscoa por 3 dias. Os ambientes agradáveis e bem cuidados. A primeira vista tudo lindo. Áreas comuns bonitas e limpas. No quarto limpo e ok, mas duas camas de solteiro juntas formando uma de casal, péssimo! Um buraco entre nós! O banheiro limpo e ok, mas o box do banho somente sendo bem magro para entrar na abertura. Um aperto, minúsculo. Lavar os pés impossível de tão pequeno o box. O jantar sugerido com mesa de antepastos e depois um primeiro prato, com preço fixo, deixa a desejar, e muito! Caro pelo o oferece. A mesa mal cuidada e a comida não era gostosa, a pasta carbonara incomível de tão salgada. A lá carte vi alguns pratos nas mesas próximas, cara bonito. Mas não posso dizer do sabor. Não quis arriscar depois do carbonara. Refeições fora do hotel, me parece ser a melhor opção. No café da manhã a mesa linda e farta se Você madrugar para poder se servir, termina às 9 hs o café da manhã ! Rsrs. Mesa de café toda vazia com cara de fim de festa e nem reposição de pratos para se servir, qto mais qualquer outra o brioche. Quem chegava para tomar o café da manhã as 9 hs ficava a frente da mesa vazia sem entender. A equipe pequena e pouco disponível não se incomodava com os hóspedes frente a mesa vazia e só justificava que o café era até as 9hs. O café ou cappuccino qdo solicitado a única pessoa do salão atendendo a todos tinha que ir até o outro lado do hotel buscar o café. Nada prático! O que parece eh que o hotel não está habituado a estar cheio e não provisiona corretamente para essas situações. De nada vale ter ambientes bonitos e cuidados se o restante não faz jus a isso.

È da qualche anno che facciamo tappa in questo hotel, per dividere il nostro viaggio Milano Catania e ritorno. In questo hotel è ben accolta anche la nostra labrador. Le camere sono ampie, pulite, i bagni con una doccia grande e il ristorante ha un menù fisso (solo per affamati) o alla carta, personalmente più apprezzato. La signora in sala davvero molto professionale e gentile. Anche alla reception il personale è sempre gentile. A colazione tante buone torte, pancake, cornetti da migliorare, e anche tanto salato e frutta. Davvero una buona struttura.
