"This hotel in 25 plus years can’t get past a 4 point review, for many reasons. Scroll the reviews if you wonder why! I understand the arrogant, pompous owners are being put out to pasture. Long overdue. Truly nasty, mean-spirited couple - oh dear… and the wife with ‘that voice’…the narcissist husband….Backstory: after spending over 30,000CHF during a 5 month stay, and weekly dinners in the Chinese Restaurant for 10 odd years, and given a letter (which I still have) to give to the Gemeinde as a reference when I first moved here, these utterly miserable pair gave me a 140CHF parking ticket for parking in their empty parking lot ‘off season’. Rotten human beings. People tell me the woman is a very jealous type. I can’t speak to that. Just know they are disliked widely. Happy to hear they are going. There will be many who will celebrate. As Friedrich Nietzsche said “People don’t want to hear the truth because they don’t want their illusions destroyed. I will continue to speak it."

"I love this Hotel! I come here year in and year out mainly to attend the Menuhin Festival of classical music. From the railway station I walk through Gstaad, at a relaxed pace, and then along the Gsteigstrasse to find this hotel at the foot of the hills and mountains, in a wonderful and green setting, by the road. Overall it takes me around 15-20 min. The hotel is a jewell with very clean rooms, like the inside a cristal glass, with white and fluffy bed sheets like the first snow, in a Swiss authentic style. The breakfast is tasty and is included in the price. The owner and service are to the image of the hotel, excellent and generous."

"Perfecto hotel familiar para disfrutar en Gstaad todos los años. Lo reservamos con mucha antelación porque solo abre algo menos de medio año al año. La mejor época para ir es desde finales de junio a principios de septiembre por el clima. Siempre elegimos la séptima planta (última) para alojarnos por las vistas espectaculares desde esa altura. Del Palace Spa me quedo con la piscina cubierta. De toda la restauración con Le Grill por su alta cocina y música en directo amenizando la comida. El club nocturno del hotel GreenGo es magnífico y en realidad es la única disco de todo Gstaad. Me encantan las pequeñas boutiques que hay dentro del hotel como la de relojería Phillips perpetual. No salimos del hotel durante toda la estancia. Todo lo teníamos dentro. El servicio es único desde que llegamos, recuerdan todos nuestros gustos y detalles de estancias anteriores. Volvemos cada año. Mucha gracias."

"I stayed at The Bernerhof Hotel from 1-3 September, 2023. I reserved two rooms for my wife and I, and our two guests. We had a lovely stay. We received exceptional service from Bouchra Ftouhi at the front desk. She was incredibly helpful during our entire stay. Our guests were delayed by Zürich traffic. She helped them get their car parked, luggage handled, and helped them with late dinner arrangements. She also helped us with many little things throughout our stay, things that normally would have distracted from our positive experience. Needless to say in Switzerland, her multilingual skills were exceptional as well. The upgraded rooms on the third floor had a terrasse with a great view of the Höhi Wispile ski area. Parking was ample and simple, directly adjacent to the front door. The Bernerhof is on the car free promenade in the center of Gstaad. You can stroll for shopping, or a have a Znüni, Apero, or dinner. The hotel has four restaurants as well, with excellent food. We enjoyed going to Pernot right next door. They had an incredible selection of gourmet food and wine. The Bernerhof spa is ample and relaxing. Overall, the Bernerhof is a first class hotel at a reasonable price."

"Ultima initially messed up my reservation by contacting me and telling me that actually they're closing for the season at the halfway point of my 4-day stay. It was frustrating but they made up for the inconvenience with a high level of hospitality. The food and drinks were good, and I loved having a cigar with my dinner. "As soon as we arrived in the hotel , started a loud noise of a drill machine in the apartment above us. And it continues the morning after. It was impossible to stay in the room. The hotel should be closed if they want to do renovation work or they should not make the apartments in the same area available to guests. It was such a lack of respect, and the answer that we received from the receptionist was that they can’t do anything. We spent 20 days traveling around Switzerland and it was the first time that we faced such a situation!!! Besides all of that the hotel is far away from everything; the lovely downtown of Gstaad is 2 km away. The accommodation is medium and the towels are old. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone."

La casa de la ciudad de Alberto es muy buena para el mundo, pero no me gusta el lugar donde esquiar. ¡La casa de alquiler es tan eficiente y la gondola Egli es un paseo de 2 minutos, me hice esquiar y la tarde extra que no había planeado, qué bono!
