Bowtree House Bed and Breakfast

My experience at the Bowtree Bed and Breakfast was outstanding. I had a comfortable, clean room with an ensuite during my stay as I was in Grantham visiting family. The breakfast was just right for me and the home made banana bread that was made by Clare, the host, was delicious. There was nothing that was too much trouble for Clare, and she was warm and friendly. The prices were very good value and this reflected the experience. I will be back again, but this time with my partner. And I will take some crumpets home with me next time as well. Thank you for a great stay. Sue Fox, Ireland.

Nicely decorated room with an new en-suite. Poly cotton itchy bedding with a hot duvet, towels as hard as boards. Breakfast if you like it is high carbs, nothing fresh other than milk and yogurt, sugary cereals white processed breads. Not our sort of food, we asked for a cooked breakfast but that is an additional £18 for two.

We usually stay in hotels but thought we’d try a B&B for a change and we are very glad we did. The Bowtree is lovely. We had the green room which had a garden view, was quiet and comfortable with a super king sized bed and an en-suite shower room. We chose to have a cooked breakfast in the morning and very good it was too, but there is continental available as well. Highly recommended

Claire and Ian Armstrong were welcoming hosts, who were quick to extol the virtues of Grantham, despite the obvious setback of being the birthplace of Margaret Hilda Thatcher. Issac Newton has strong associations with the town. The couple were very accommodating - nothing was too much of a bother. Bowtree House offers big savings when compared to local well-known overnight stay chains. Bowtree House is in a convenient location - 15 minutes from Town Centre. Our room was spacious, well equipped, clean and finished to a high standard. The bed was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was self services yet plenty of options were available. A listing of nearby restaurants and hostelries were provided in the room, which was a welcome, practical addition not available in other establishments. In summary, we had a very pleasant stay and would certainly recommend this fine establishment without reservation. All in all, a pleasant experience.
