Reef Resort - All Inclusive

Beach view was excellent! Not in a hustle and bustle area so if you are looking for true rest and relaxation, this is the perfect place for you. If you’re looking for additional options for food and nightlife this is likely not the best option for you. However, the restaurant on site was very good & had great options! It was very clean and the staff was super friendly! Although it is an all-inclusive resort, it is not your traditional all-inclusive that you would see in Mexico, Aruba, and other places. After each food or beverage item purchased, you have to sign a ticket & indicate if you’d like to leave a tip. You don’t just walk up to the bar and order a drink and walk away. Overall it was clean, great staff, great food & felt very safe!

The staff was fabulous, and accommodations were fantastic for the price. All-inclusive was well worth it. We could easily drive to Rum Point for excursions, and we only ate off the property twice. The food was incredible. The price is lower bc you're not on 7 mile beach, so expect seaweed. But excellent stay for the price.

The Staff & Timeshare Pitch The hospitality here was highly disappointing. Upon arrival, instead of a warm welcome, we were immediately pressured into a timeshare presentation. The front desk staff lacked enthusiasm, appeared indifferent, and made us feel like an inconvenience rather than valued guests. To make matters worse, their lack of flexibility ruined our plans. We attended their two-hour presentation, but because we were running just 10 minutes late for the complimentary excursion they provided, the staff simply told us "too bad" and refused to accommodate us. Given that we had just given them two hours of our vacation time, this rigid attitude felt incredibly unaccommodating. Prospective guests should be highly aware of the room configurations. Unless you book a full family suite, you will be sharing an open balcony with the strangers staying in the adjacent room. To me, sharing a balcony completely defeats the purpose of having private outdoor space. While management eventually agreed not to place anyone next to us after we complained, the interaction made us feel like "problem customers" for expecting standard privacy. Lastly, if you are traveling in June expecting the crystal-clear turquoise waters Grand Cayman is famous for, be aware that the ocean on this side of the island was incredibly murky during our stay. Overall, between the lackluster service, the aggressive sales tactics, and the lack of privacy in the standard rooms.

The staff was amazing. The room was very nice. The proximity to the beach was perfect. Everything about this Hotel was excellent.

“All Inclusive” is very misleading. Very limited buffet with 1 type of meal to choose from each day. Limited menu to order from and “premium” meats are extra. 1 bar for the entire facility and you have to sign for each drink, every single time. Very small cups. By the time you make it to the pool the drink is gone or melted. Sea **** and smell was unbearable. Air conditioning would not cool below 73 degrees. Called front desk and asked for box fan but they didn’t have anything. This is a glorified Holiday Inn. After the first day we were ready to check out and change hotels but were with friends so did not. Stay on the West End, Seven mile / Georgetown area and you’ll have a much better experience. Staff were all very friendly with the exception of 1 older gentleman who was bar tending and was obviously miserable doing so. If you’ve ever done all inclusive in Mexico, don’t expect anything even remotely similar here. Very disappointed in the overall experience.

Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and the all-inclusive made everything easy and seamless. Will visit again.

We stayed here for a week in the 2 bedroom condo with our teenagers, we all loved this place! The food was amazing and the staff was super amazing. After a day, they get to know you and converse with you, remember your orders, etc. It is very quiet there. The rooms are clean and beds are comfortable! The only things we did not like: There is only one bar and it is not close to the big pool. They also do not have servers around the pool so you have to walk back and forth and the frozen drinks are halfway melted before you’re back and ice in the cups are melted. The big pool needs to be cleaned more thoroughly and frequently (still nice and used it everyday, don’t get me wrong). The resort next door has a built up of seaweed or something up around the beach and the smell was rough.. so we just stayed at the bigger pool further away from it.. They were working on getting it cleaned up though. Regardless of the 3 downfalls, we will be back in the Spring!!

The food is great. The staff are very friendly and helpful. You have to expect little different kind inclusive compare to Mexico. But the food still the best. My family love it.And it plenty enough to eat. There are seaweed when we were there . Can't swim in ocean. But we rent a car drive to different beach. Rental car only 15 dollars a day. Where can you rent a car for 15 dollars a day?? so make it all good!!!

The Reef is an amazing relaxing resort. The food is outstanding. Very friendly and helpful staff. Make sure to get the All- Inclusive Food & Beverage package, it really makes a huge difference for daily eating. The Caymans is very pricey. They accept US currency but their currency is British which is 20% - 30% stronger. Please get the All-inclusive upfront when booking. The bedding is very comfortable. You can request extra pillows if needed. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Our room was facing the ocean with a balcony . If you like Caribbean food, it was served on Sunday night. The alcoholic beverages are included with All-inclusive. The alcoholic beverages were very good. There are no Ubers or Local Rides.. if you don’t plan to drive you will need to book excursions. The front desk is wonderful with booking excursions. See if you can get the best deals with the excursions. The resort is fit for family, couples, or singles.
