Hoteles cerca del Riel Lowlands, Goirle

When staying at the hotel we couldn’t fault it. Children stay free if sharing a room, and we had booked to visit Efteling. We didn’t realise but our stay coincided with carnival, for this reason I think we were allocated a room at the back of the hotel (as I can imagine those front facing would be very noisy - there is a huge stage directly in front of the hotel at this time, as well as many food vans and outside bars etc - not that any of this worried us). So our room was on the 5th floor at the rear with a direct view of the multi story car park! (But we didn’t book for a view!). The room was well equipped with a comfy bed and a seperate shower and toilet. Everything was very clean. The only issue I would say regarding the rooms is that they were very dark so it was hard to see your items in the wardrobe. Not a big deal! The staff on reception were really helpful and chatty, and gave us lots of advice. It’s super easy to reach Efteling from here, we walked to the coach station (just by the train station) and there were regular buses. Again children travel free. You could walk to the station in about 10-15 mins. The shopping streets are very close to the hotel, and nice for a stroll - plenty of places to eat etc. we enjoyed backwerk bakery just a couple of shops down from the hotel, they did fresh smoothies and juices and lovely fresh sandwiches. Perfect for brunch/lunch. There is a Taco Bell next to the hotel! My son wanted to try it but we didn’t get chance! The issue for us came out check out, our flight wasn’t until the evening so we asked to use the secure luggage room for our case so we could enjoy our last day. We came back to the hotel to pick up our bag, and make our way to the airport. I was let in to the luggage room to get our case, but it had gone. The staff didn’t know what to do, apart from check and speak to other staff members. Eventually I asked to see the manager as we really needed to leave (fortunately we had been sensible and kept our passports and money etc on us). And I was asking for something in writing to say they had “lost” our case - as I didn’t feel comfortable just leaving with no proof (they also wanted to take the luggage receipts - I think because they wanted to figure out what had happened). The manager was “checking the CCTV” but upon our second request did come out and see us. She did apologise for the case going missing (after a long time!! More hearing about how strange this was?!?) and said if it “wasn’t found” they would replace it. At this point I was getting concerned about travelling home without any of our things, especially with my son, for example some warmer clothes, his switch!! I felt the customer service here was lacking, there was no gesture here - could they assist us getting to the airport for example - She did offer to go to the shop but by this point we were cutting it so fine to get to the airport / which we said to her! Great stop for one night. Typical Ibis with little storage space but enough for a small amount of luggage. Comfortable bed, nice shower room, good water pressure and decent air conditioning. There was a kettle in the room (not always in Holland) but small paper cups - china cups would have been a nice touch. Breakfast was good although it did feel as if we were in a pub environment. Great location. Not far off the motorway but on a quiet industrial estate with lots of trees. Free parking. Can definitely recommend for a stop whilst travelling.

Muy contentos con todas las atenciones, desde la llegada, antes del check in, nos ofrecieron graduar el equipaje, necesitábamos una lavadora de ropa y ellos tienen una lavadora y secadora para los huéspedes, sin costo. La recámara muy limpia y tal como se muestra en su página, todo el concepto del hotel es espectacular, todos los detalles, pudimos rentar bicicletas ahí mismo para pasear un poco por la ciudad. Efteling está muy cerca y fuimos y vinimos caminando, la zona es muy bonita y segura. Todas las personas del hotel muy amables y siempre buscando como ayudarte y hacerte sentir como en casa. Abajo, hay un super mercado que abre hasta las 10pm y tiene de todo. Volvería todo el tiempo con ellos.

La entrada es la misma entrada que la casa de ancianos que está atrapada. El desayuno está a la izquierda de la entrada, después debe pasear por la recepción a través de un paseo para comer. Así que me encontré con varios ancianos, no tengo nada contra ancianos, pero da una cierta atmósfera, y el hotel es muy atento. Toallas que se tiran, ducha que se hace en otras habitaciones y habla en el pasillo son muy bien escuchados. También hay mucho sonido de fuera (en realidad está en el centro) y en ese lado teníamos la habitación. La habitación está bien, la cama de baño estaba muy caliente (la cama estaba muy caliente en octubre). Bañera también está bien. El desayuno es delicioso y el personal es muy amable. No volvería rápidamente debido a la combinación hotel/anciano, pero eso es en realidad debido a mi propia experiencia con una casa de anciano y a los recuerdos que acompaño.

La habitación es muy confortable y muy confortable. Además de comer en el hotel, hemos probado varios restaurantes junto a la puerta del hotel y en Oisterwijk. Hay mucho que ver en el barrio, como el Casteel Nemelaer, donde nos disfrutamos de deliciosos meringas de haszard o el paisaje de la Duinen de Loonse y Drunense, una gran zona de dunas de arena. El parque de coches deja mucho que desee, pero de lo contrario una descansa más agradable.

Nos llegamos a las 8:00 y no había comida disponible, hay un bar, así que pedimos una cerveza, pero los dos empleados en la recepción respondieron que el bar estaba cerrado debido a la falta de personal para recortar los costes (!!). A continuación, sugerí que podían servirnos una cerveza, ni siquiera ser un barman profesional, ya que el hotel (y el aeropuerto) estaba vacío y no estaban muy ocupados. Uno de los dos empleados, un hombre de pelo corto en servicio en la noche del 6 de julio (que se negó a decir su nombre) nos rió de ser extremadamente rudo. Le pedí que llamara al gerente y el mismo tipo me dio un número que descubrí era el número de la recepción. El otro empleado, una niña rubia bonita, ha llamado con alegría al gerente, que era totalmente inútil: no propuso ninguna solución y ni siquiera respondió cuando el hombre rudo me dijo “POR favor, váyase” (confirmado por el otro empleado en el teléfono). El hombre rudo me dijo también, junto con otro hombre neerlandés, que debía hablar neerlandés como estamos en los Países Bajos... en un hotel en el aeropuerto!!!! No tengo palabras para comentar el servicio, ya que describirlo como malo no es suficiente.... También he comprobado las críticas en la página de Facebook y los primeros 4 son muy negativos, todos ellos debido a la concierge....

This is a lovely hotel - awesome reception, dining and relaxing areas - very luxurious! Service was excellent. Breakfast was tasty with good choices and plenty of seating. Parking was free and good amount of places. The room was a big let down. The good part was the comfy bed and the well set out wardrobe/cupboard areas for clothes and suitcases. The bad part was the bathroom - hair dryer head no longer stayed on, shower floor got super wet after shower (due to door only covering half of shower unit), shower heads were a bit useless for pressure, the bathroom was not clean and didn’t look like anyone had done it properly for a while (see photos). A big disappointment considering the rest of the hotel.
