For my short 1 night stay at the hotel, I'm grateful for the receptionist at the counter for upgrading my room to sea view. This hotel was build during the 90's and It had far exceeded my expectations with it's upgraded amenities. Spacious room, comfortable single beds, complimentary snacks and most important of all is the USB output for modern smart devices. One thing that is lacking is the old LCD 32inch tv. That piece of relic should also be upgraded.

The hotel is bit old but we'll maintained, clean, the lobby is grand, the landscape in front of the lobby is nice. Strategic location, shopping malls, restaurants, cafes and mini Mart are within walking distance. Will return.

Good service. Received room upgrade with seaview. Easy private and public parking availability.

Yeah.....we are celebrated our Chinese New Year at this Hotel Evergreen Laurel of along Gurney Drive ( Malaysia Penang Island ). There's amazing see sights surrounding hotel and very convenient for walking to access beach park and Gurney Plaza shopping mall and with many more restaurants along beach side. It's pretty nice for relaxing trip here. Definitely, will come back here again.

Great location locations, many amenities are there . Infront of Gurney Bay and there’s playground for your kids. Amazing sea views. Many restaurants and street foods , food villages are just walking distance.

Although hotel is quite old,but surprise me everything is clean and satisfied.

Good location. 10-15 min walk to Gurney Paragon. Service is good. They gave us 4 bottles of water each day. The roti canai roadside stall near hotel at Penang Seafood and grill is cheap and good. Hotel is old but room is big and nice.

Can be improve by slippers in place for customer to swimming pool.

The hotel locate at nice strategic location with a new playground and outdoor activities facing the sea view. My only suggestion is to upgrade on their renovation outlook and also the interior.

Last minute booking. Had low expectation since it’s an old hotel. It is very well maintained and very clean. Amenities are very good as well. Their health club is really good, had the chance to use their gym, sauna and jacuzzi. Nice view!

One of the oldest hotel along Gurney Drive but still among the best and cheapest in that area. Clean and friendly staff. Fair breakfast buffet spread. Free canned drinks and apples daily. Simply amazing hotel. We chose the seaview deluxe room and the view facing the bay was amazing. The new Gurney bay park is just in front of the hotel where you can jog and catch sunrise at the promenade. Evergreen Laurel is surely my favorite hotel in Georgetown and will come back here soon.

Old facilities and need to change the furniture but nice view

I here on self drive for business trip. I went to opposite gurney park for jogging exercise and very very difficult to cross over due to too many incoming fast driving cars are not care / stop on yellow cross line. I informed the Evergreen hotel reception & the manager to ask the local authority to put up the speed bumps at Evergreen hotel main road to avoid accident. I hope my next visit to stay at this Evergreen Hotel is with speed bumps done. Thank you.
