The rooms in this 4-star hotel are incredibly spacious and comfortable—it definitely lived up to my expectations. The highlight for me was the location; it's just a 6-minute walk to Gurney Plaza. This was a huge plus because I didn't have to walk far in the heat to find a place with AC to spend a hot afternoon. The room is well-equipped with everything you need. It's clear the management is very thoughtful, providing a solid, reliable stay for travelers at an affordable price. The decor isn't outdated; it has a unique character to it. If you're looking for value for money, this is a great choice. It’s also surrounded by plenty of food options while remaining peacefully quiet.

We’re glad to be accommodated in one of the higher-floor rooms with lovely view overlooking the green western side ( Pulau Tikus and beyond ) of the Penang island. Although the corridors do show sign of age as the iconic hotel has been around for a number of years. the refurbished room was however nice, clean, quiet and spacious with high ceiling. We were much impressed by the degree of friendliness of the staff. The breakfast at the cafe was exclusively vegetarian with good variety and different menus on each of our three- night stay. It was an enjoyable stay.

The mist coziest hotel in penang for a packnof family.. the room super big with king, single and super single bed in a room!

Overall building looks tired worn aged Cons Most annoying when hotel room has NO convenient power point next to bed, so unable to charge phone whilst in bed chatting, surfing the net, finally found a power point down on skirting board by side wall where bed is tucked right up to it but not working, and has an extension from it to another power point with broken trailing cables! Wardrobe doors creaks loudly, Gym opens 8am which makes it difficult to have a workout before showering and ready for days activities. My second pet hate is when room wardrobes have only 2 hangers? Surely any sane clean person has more then two attire for a stay?? Two coffee sachets for two guests per day! We have not been to Penang since 2021 and this is our 1st time at this hotel. Glad to say that , Berjaya Hotel Penang exceeds our expectation. We stayed at 24th floor - the room was quite spacious & the best thing was the view. Love it. The room also clean & shower was good & toilet is clean as well. Breakfast also was good. Not too many choice but adequate.

it’s not a 4 star hotel as stated.The tv signal very poor and not in colour ,remote tv also not working. Noise from water pipe while taking bath. Swimming pool place are small. It’s a old building need to upgrade better in future ..overall 3star hotel 😬😅
