Hoteles cerca del Grand Théâtre de Genève, Ginebra

El hotel está muy cerca de la ciudad, pero no importa porque el tranvía está en la parte delantera del hotel. El viaje al centro dura menos de 20 minutos. Todo desde la entrada hasta la salida satisface mis expectativas. La habitación es bastante espaciosa, Internet de alta velocidad le permite estar en contacto con su cercano y querido. Comenzar el día con un desayuno delicioso es importante para mí y no puedo quejarme de las opciones. Por otra parte, el zumo de naranja fresco me hizo feliz.

En 2019 compré dos tíquets para el Salón del Automóvil de Ginebra 2020 y, como ya sabéis, el show fue cancelado debido a la situación pandémica del Covid-19. La organización del Salón del Automóvil me devolvió del dinero de las entradas sin ningún tipo de problema, pero con el hotel no ha sido posible. Tengo que reconocer que mi reserva no disponía de cancelación gratuita, esto no se puede negar, pero no hicieron ningún esfuerzo para comprender la situación y permitir la devolución a modo extraordinario, así como hizo la aerolínea que también tenía contratada. Finalmente, después de varios días debatiendo, me permitieron cambiar de fechas la estancia y pasarla a 2021, de esta manera podría aprovechar la estancia para visitar el Salón del Automóvil de 2021. A día de hoy, el Salón de 2021 también se ha anulado, por lo que recientemente he contactado con el hotel para intentar pedir de nuevo la devolución del dinero. Evidentemente sin éxito. Además la situación actual de la pandemia sigue siendo crítica, por lo que puede ser que no pueda viajar en Marzo, pero el hotel no comprende nada de esto. Nuevamente, la aerolínea EasyJet me devuelve el dinero de los vuelos de este año, pero el hotel no muestra ninguna actitud de amabilidad ni empatía. La sensación es muy frustrante y decepcionante.

Estructura situada a unos siete minutos de taxi del aeropuerto y fuera del centro sin embargo fácilmente accesible con los tranvías 14 y 18 que se toman a los dos a 50 metros del hotel y con sólo 15 minutos te llevarán al centro de detención Bel Air desde donde usted La estructura se encuentra ya a pie del centro histórico y del lago, pero creo que es muy desorganizada y que debe mejorarse en muchos aspectos. Las habitaciones son más que cómodas con cama de matrimonio king size, lamentablemente no están equipadas con los pinos de saco italianos. Baño cómodo con ducha amplia donde, por supuesto, no hay bidet, faltan también las chiabatas que para un 4 estrellas es una pena grande y en el frío no hay bebidas sino una botella de agua que hacen que se encuentra en la mesa a la llegada. Desafortunadamente, deja a deseo de limpieza y peor aún el segundo día no habían hecho ni la habitación para luego limpiar (en 10 minutos!!!) en ns petición alrededor de las 18:00 y dejo espacio para la imaginación sobre el nivel de limpieza realizada. El desayuno es de dulce y salado aceptable y con varias propuestas. Personal más que disponible tanto en la recepción donde al llegar encontramos un chico que hablaba también italiano muy propenso a dar información, amables y también disponibles en el desayuno. Iniciar y salir demasiado lentamente y sin embargo con pocas personas esperando esto debido a la presencia de un solo operador, situación que también hemos observado en los giros de la llamada estancia. Sin embargo, creo que es una buena solución para quienes quieren gastar mucho menos que las instalaciones en pleno centro, incluso para la conexión fácil y rápida con el tranvía de este último como los autobuses se pueden utilizar totalmente gratis haciendo Entregar los billetes a la recepción que valen para todo el Vs residencia.

The Geneva Marriott is an attractive, contemporary hotel located roughly near the airport, and since the shuttle doesn't run that often, you might be better off making the walk, as I did. For me it was a matter of some 20 minutes, but depending on your starting point at the airport, it could easily be less. Much closer to the hotel is the quite large Balexert shopping mall at 7 or 8 minutes' walk. The center of town can be also be walked to, as the way is rather straightforward, though it is noticeably farther than the airport, making the trams that stop very close to the hotel an option. Of course you will have to ask for your free Geneva public transport card, as the hotel makes no mention of these at its own initiative. I liked the fact that I was offered a late checkout immediately on arrival. I didn't like hearing that breakfast is available to platinum Marriott Rewards members in the executive lounge only, a marked departure from standard practice elsewhere in Europe - not just at Marriotts, but also, for example, at their large American competitor also located near the airport. As it was, when I was ready for breakfast on the morning of my one-night stay, it turned out that something had gone wrong and as a consequence, breakfast was offered only in the restaurant. The assortment there was between good and very good, which I'm sure wouldn't have been the case in the lounge. The lounge had already disappointed the previous evening. I went shortly before 18:00 just to make sure that food would still be available when I was expecting to have the time, just after 19:00. The employee said yes, but there was virtually nothing left when returned; she might have had the courtesy to mention that they would stop replenishing dishes, but this would have required some thought from the guest's perspective. The gym was not so great, either; from a large and modern Marriott I'd expect better. All in all, acceptable, but if breakfast in the lounge is as meager as I suspect, then I would probably not favor this property.

Buen hotel decente, pero es un poco difícil encontrar la entrada principal ya que está demasiado al lado de la carretera. Instalaciones bien mantenidas y personal amable. El tamaño de la habitación no es tan espacioso. La limpieza es buena.

This is really close to the airport and easy to get to on foot even with snowboard bags and suitcases! We used for an overnight stay before travelling onto final destination. It was exactly what we expected for the cost. The room was tiny, but clean and functional. We had a double bed with a single bunk over, clever use of the space. Our only complaint is that it was incredibly hot with no way of cooling other than opening the window, which slightly cooled, but you are right next to the airport so there are obviously numerous noises. There was air con gauge on the wall, but it didn’t work. It was unseasonably warm so maybe the heating for the building just hadn’t adjusted? The heater in the room was off, but the whole building appeared to be hot. Would recommend for short overnight stay if using airport.

Me ha gustado mucho el hotel, cerca de la frontera con Suiza. Ideal para alojarse teniendo vehículo (no hemos ido en transporte público) y no pagar los precios altos de Ginebra. El hotel es muy bonito, acogedor y limpio. El personal muy amable, incluso hay empleados que hablan español. Volvería sin pensarlo!!

Too expensive for what it offers. It's on the same level as an IBIS Hotel but with a much higher price tag. Rooms have a terrible design and are not practical. What architect designed this? You open the door and you literally fall into the bed be cause they thought it was smart to put toilet and shower at the other side of the room. Why? The view (you pay more for the lake side view) cannot be enjoyed while lying in bed. And when you wash yourself on the sink you close the curtains so that nobody from the parking lot sees you.. silly. The bed is also no normal bed but a sofa bed. Why? It has no night tables - very impractical so we had to put our belongings next to the sink. All in all badly designed. A shame.

Best thing about this place is without doubt the surrounding area and the beautiful exterior and grounds. The inside and dining room is like a throwback from the 1960's. It's not bad on the inside but it just completely don't suit the outside. But for the money (relatively super cheap for Switzerland) I think it's well worth it. Just for the beautiful exterior and surroundings area. Pure and utter bliss of a night. I would stay again but remember, don't expect much once you're in.
