The Guest House ★★★

"On short notice, due to issues with hotel booked to attend a funeral in town, we booked a room here. The Inn is very cute and comfortable, except that we couldn't lock our room and there were other people in the house. The plumming issue was fixed quickly and didn't pose a big problem, we were happy about that. Our only issues were that the rates listed were different than quoted and when I asked about it, she didn't respond. That and it took over a week for the charges to show and to receive our receipt. The owner is very nice though."

The Denny House ★★★

"We had a wonderful stay at the Denny House! Our host, Amy, waited to greet us, but we arrived later than expected. She was kind enough to leave a note with instructions for us on the front door. We stayed for three nights, and since it was during the week and cold and rainy, we had the whole house to ourselves! We stayed in the Miller room, which was very spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful. There is a nice little electric fireplace that has a blower and we were plenty warm in the room. Amy was readily available with questions we had. She asked us what time we would like our breakfast in the morning and she arrived right on time! Not only did she cook us gourmet breakfasts every morning, but she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and at home. As a native Kentuckian, she was able to provide us with information about the community and neighboring towns. We truly enjoyed our stay at the Denny House, but the best part of our stay was our precious host, Amy!"
