Muy buena ubicación, varios desayunos completos, personal disponible. El punto débil es que solo hay seis lugares donde puedes estacionar, pero muchas veces ya lo tienes. La posibilidad de aparcar en el parking del casino es de hasta 6,30 € durante todo el día. Otro punto débil de la insonorización de la habitación es el sonido de la televisión, puertas en la habitación contigua. Hotel suficiente, piscina agradable, hammam con jacuzzi y gimnasio pequeño para 3/4 días.

Una semana maravillosa en Madeira y este hotel ha contribuido a que sea así. Estupendo buffet en desayunos. Todo muy rico y muy bien preparado. Limpieza, orden, atención...y por las noches escuchar la música desde el balcón, una temperatura de lujo y un buen baño en la piscina, realmente lo he pasado muy bien. Gracias

Hotel Quinta Da Penha De Franca is within it's own complex and is up the hill from its sister hotel Quinta Penha de Franca Mar. You can use the facilities within Quinta Penha de Franca Mar as well. Both are linked together by means of a private bridge which goes over the road, this is pretty seamless, but you do have to go out the door of the De Franca and buzz back in, but too much of an issue. Quinta Da Penha De Franca is set within gardens and has a heated pool which can be used, complimentary pool towels provided. You can also use the pool at Franca Mar which is unheated, but was still warm enough, and is salt water, from here you also have direct private access to the sea. Rooms are of a good size, I would recommend staying in the main complex rooms. There are around 4 rooms which are around Rooms 40-44 which are separate from the main complex, that can be nice, but note the Irish Bar is just over the wall, so can be a little noisy at times. Rooms were clean, air conditioning good, TV and mini bar, which if you want to indulge was good value. Beds were big, and very comfy which helped for a good nights sleep. Room Service is also available, though oddly no complimentary tea & coffee provided in the room, which I would expect in a four star. The location is excellent, on the edge of the hotel area means a short walk into town, and short walk to other restaurants and bars in the hotel district so a real positive. Parking is also very good, they have a large free to use carpark, so brilliant if you are planning to hire a car to explore the island like we did, we had no issues parking. Breakfast was also very good, a mix of continental, Portuguese and cooked buffet options. Service was friendly and overall a very enjoyable stay was had.

Very nice and conveniently located 4* hotel. Offers peace and quiet, lovely breakfast with multiple international options. It has a swimming pool which I have not used due to colder temperatures in December (20C degrees). The Aerobus stop is next to the hotel (the airport bus for €5 single trip) and the return trip bus stop #15 is on the opposite side of the road. Also the Red open top Funchal Sightseeing Bus has its stop at the same places. The room service at the hotel is regular and effective. The Reception team is very helpful and fluent in foreign languages. The hotel provides guests with a kettle and a few instant coffee sachets and Tetley teabags. Tetley tea is a big brand in Madeira- it is served at almost every restaurant and bar. Unfortunately, bottled mineral water is not provided on a daily basis. We got just one 1.5 l bottle on the day one of our 6 days stay and that was it. The interior design style of the hotel is modern- very pleasant and comfortable. We had a side view on the sea from the hotel window which was beautiful especially during the sunset. The bed was comfortable, the pillows were on the soft side, a bit too soft for me. We had extra pillows and extra duvet available in the room as well as a good quality hairdryer. The bathroom had a transparent glass door as well as the shower cabin. The TV had all the international cable TV, which was very helpful to keep in touch with the daily news. I would definitely stay at Villa Baleira again.

Una estancia fantástica, todo el personal muy amable y cordial, la situación del hotel es inmejorable cerca del centro histórico de Funchal, el bar de la terraza muy bien,con actuaciones en directo de fado, el personal del desayuno muy atento, no es demasiado grande por lo que rl trato es muy personal, si vuelvo a madeira sin duda repitiria la estancia en este hotel

¡Fabuloso hotel con vistas para morirse! Nos alojamos en las habitaciones recientemente renovadas y eran simplemente impresionantes y nuevamente tenían unas vistas increíbles. El hotel estaba súper limpio, la zona de la piscina era preciosa. Está fuera del centro, por lo que es necesario tomar un taxi, que cuesta entre 10 y 15 €, o tomar el autobús (que no apareció cuando lo intentamos, así que buscamos un taxi mejor). No nos importó estar fuera del centro porque el ¡El hotel valió la pena! El personal era fantástico y el restaurante era precioso con buena comida. Lo único que puedo criticar del hotel es que el agua de nuestra habitación no se reponía. De lo contrario fue perfecto. ¡Sin duda me alojaría aquí de nuevo!

En términos generales esta bien. El desayuno muy bueno. No corresponde a un 5 estrellas de españa ni de lejos.. Con el precio que tiene me parece abusivo que no se incluya el spa, ni las camas balinesas ni el parking !!! . Todo lo cobran adicionalmente. No hay servicio de piscina, tienes que levantarte a pedir bebida y comida si estás en la zona de la piscina. Sin embargo sí que tienen personal para pasearse con donuts para vender en las tumbonas de la piscina a precios de broma.

Estive no pestana ocean bay durante uma semana e estou completamente faxinado para começar tive uma receção super atensiosa , quase todas as noites foram me apresentadas boas refeições. Encontrei todas as áreas limpas e bem cuidadas, as piscinas sempre bem tratadas. O serviço prestado por parte do Staff da piscina foi sempre muito agradável. As aulas de hidroginástica sempre cheias de uma energia e alegria contagiante!! Obrigada a todos! Recomendooo

Estuvimos alojados 3 noches, el matrimonio y dos hijas de 18 y 14 años, cogimos una junior suite, nos la dieron en la planta 2, tiene 18, frente a las piscinas, que una está en la planta 1, una habitación grandisima, con sofá cama, separado x pared, la cama de matrimonio , enorme, y separada x un biombo, otra cama de 90, o sea que dormíamos juntos pero sin vernos, con 3 balcones, y un cuarto de baño con ducha con todos los chorros imaginables, dos lavabos, y bañera con hidromasaje, en fin, nos encantó, que como dicen algunos comentarios, podían renovar algunos muebles, pero para mi, estaban bien. Teníamos solo desayuno, un buffet variado. El hotel es muy grande, con varias plantas, piscinas en la 1 y en la 0, ahí puedes acceder al mar, x unas escaleras, ya que esta isla no tiene playas. Dos piscinas climatizadas y dos jacuzzi, incluidos, las piscinas exteriores cierran a las 19:00, muy pronto, la verdad, que mínimo que a las 20:00, hago aquí una mención. Y las climatizadas a las 20:00 , así que ahí terminábamos el día. Las toallas de la piscina están incluidas. Para ir al centro de funchal, salir del hotel y a la derecha, unos 15/20 minutos andando, ir se va mejor pues es hacia abajo, luego ya para regresar todo cuestas. Para ir al aeropuerto o venir os recomiendo tenerlo contratado con un transfer, pues es precio fijo 25/27 € , un taxi cobra 45€. Madeira tiene su encanto, recomendable, mínimo 5 días,

Das Hotel Next in Funchal auf Madeira überzeugt durch seine ausgezeichnete Lage direkt am Wasser. Die Zimmer, obwohl geräumig, neigen dazu, aufgrund ihrer Dunkelheit eine etwas gedämpfte Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Trotzdem punktet das Hotel mit komfortablen Betten, moderner Einrichtung und ansprechenden Badezimmern. Das Frühstück, serviert in einer Art Kantine, weist eine begrenzte Auswahl auf und die Qualität könnte verbessert werden. Ein Highlight ist jedoch der Beach Club am Wasser, der, obwohl ohne Strand, mit einem Pool und direktem Zugang zum Meer über einen Steg positiv hervorsticht.
