Hotel de Londres is right opposite the Chateau de Fontainebleau, so you can sit by your window or on the balcony and gaze out on the amazing building. It is in prime position for those wanting to beat the crowds and get into the chateau first thing. We had a very comfortable, large room, upgraded as the hotel was quiet. Excellent accommodation. Breakfast was also lovely, lots of choice and impeccable service. The staff are charming. We booked a parking space which was useful, right next to the hotel. Being by the chateau makes it very easy to find. There are various good restaurants nearby, one just opposite the hotel. Highly recommended.

Visiting our family, in France, we stayed two days at the “Hôtel de Londres” in Fontainebleau. Our stay was just as in a dream and we enjoyed the high quality of the hotel, the amiability of the owners and of the devoted staff. Our room, number 8, was facing the castle and furnished with two, high standard comfortable King-size beds, a large bathroom with an Italian shower, entrance with separation door and all you could expect in such prestigious hotel. That without mentioning the outstanding noise immunity provided by the double glass windows and insulation making the room surprisingly quiet. We took our breakfast at the hotel, which offers a buffet and, if you like French pastry, we highly recommend the delicious croissants and “pains-au-chocolat” absolutely delicious. We also highly appreciated the amiability of the owners and their recommendations on sites to visit and restaurants. The overall hotel is charming, very well located and there is no doubt a place we highly recommend if you visit Fontainebleau. It's in a great position with a fantastic view of the Chateau,we had room 8 which we were told was a romantic room...It was a great room with two super double beds,a large bathroom,that had a toilet so close to the shower your knees were touching the glass.Weird,but hey for 2 nights we really enjoyed the room especially the air con and that fantastic view.The main inconvenience was the WiFi,so unreliable

Great location - right across street from Fontainbleau Palace. Also, just around the corner from many restaurants. Only reason for lower rating was response of older gentleman (messy white hair) at reception desk when we checked in, who stated we had not booked a reservation for car parking and what did we drive, a Rolls Royce that we couldn't use the public parking around the corner, we should go there. This despite there being only one car in their lot that night. I would have cancelled our reservation then and there but it was too late and we had had a long day of driving. Thankfully desk staff the next morning (different gentleman) went out of their way to tell us to move our car immediately to their lot and apologized for the rude treatment of the previous person.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable. A few things let it down I though. There is no bar, so if you want a beer reception will go and get one from the back. I was refused one at 2000 as I was told they had stop serving. This was incredibly disappointing. The breakfast whilst good, was not good value for €16. And the Wi-Fi which was important for my business trip was very slow, to the point I had to use hotspot on roaming to send emails. The rate is quite expansive at €200 a night, which is what I paid. So I would expect more. This is not to say the hotel is bad, rather poor value for money. The location however is excellent.

Very nice hotel, with good beds. Air con control was taken away from the room after the first night. Which was strange. Breakfast was ok, but I would expect far more for €16. It didn’t have a bar, but beer could be bought from downstairs. Although it would seem 2000 is too late and I was refused. The toilet in my room was a strange design to say the least, but if you needed to take a sample my toilet was great! My colleagues was what you would call normal.
