Fenghuang Qingxi Zen Courtyard is nestled within the ancient town, surrounded by old trees and flocks of birds. Here, you can capture the sound of the wind, record the rain, and observe the rising and setting of the sun. A creek flows gently in front of the courtyard, and just a three-minute walk along the stone-paved alley by the water leads you to the Tuo River. Within the courtyard stands a thousand-year-old gold bullet tree with a towering crown—an enduring witness to the living history of Fenghuang Ancient Town and a unique sight in the Xiangxi region. While Phoenix boasts thousands of guesthouses, ours is the only one with mountains, water, and ancient trees all within the same courtyard. The building was once a private school. We've redefined it through Zen, tea culture, and ethnic heritage, using many old Xiangxi artifacts, century-old doors and windows, and antique collections to recreate a traditional atmosphere. Whether in the main hall, under the ancient tree, or on the hillside, you’ll find old millstone tea tables where you can sit and enjoy the scenery over tea.
