Saratoga Resort

Very Clean and close to the beach. Quiet area. Owner was on premises and was very friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to booking again soon. Walking distance to bike rentals. Pool area was clean.

We arrived rooms weren't ready until 5 p.m., queen size beds were doubles, rooms were dirty, towels are thin and scratchy, there was no housekeeping services, they did not come and empty trash, or replace towels. Awful experience, the draw that held the utensles was so dirty we just closed it and told the manager and owner...they did nothing. They did come and clean out the refrigerator that had old food in it (fish) from last rentor only after my daughter and grand daughter went in the office crying and told us they would send housekeeping the next day, but there was no housekeeping the second day. Their website claimed that the rooms were all redone and new floors were put in, the new floors are warped and dirty. This was the worst experience my family ever had at a hotel or motel and they all travel a lot. Oh, I forgot about the dead bug in the bedroom.

I've read the bad reviews and I honestly don't understand what they are referring to. Now I'm quite particular where I stay and I have to say the room was wonderful, clean and welcoming. Of course the room we had had a couch which wasn't really great for that small room and no table but it was a nice room. Niru is more than accommodating. The walk to the beach was easy and we had no trouble parking. I pointed out a few things that were not totally functioning but he immediately took note. Beds were comfortable and of course going in and out leaves sand on the floor but hey, went to a 5 star Resort in Mexican that had the same thing. Just bring flip flops and slippers you'll be fine. Towels were a little small for bathing but we ended up mostly using our beach towels. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised because I've stayed at a few motels in Jersey beaches and this is luxury compared to those.

Niro (a very personable owner) and his staff were lovely as usual. He always tries to be accommodating to his guests and is so nice to kids. The girls who do the rooms brought us everything we asked for. I couldn't get the bedroom remote to work and a guy came immediately and showed me how it worked. It's a family place with a huge pool. We have been coming here for many years and consider this charming hotel/motel a great place to vacation. The beds in mine and my daughter's 2 room efficiencies were so comfortable, (the one in the living room is a pullout) the a/c worked great and it's on beach block, separated from the beach by one hotel, but only a half minute walk to the beach . The efficiencies are always well stocked and the double rooms are also super comfortable. Coffee makers, iron, fan in rooms. Everything was clean. It has a coffee shop and ice cream shop. It's a short drive to the boardwalk and restaurants. Or if you like to walk, it's easy enough to get anywhere and you can rent bikes a block away. We return every summer.

The Saratoga Inn’s new owner is very dedicated. He is committed to making sure guests are happy with their room. The four of us - two parents and two young kids - checked in on a Thursday afternoon and wanted to get right into the pool. My parents had checked into their room a couple hours before we checked in to ours and we realized that we were on opposite sides of the hotel and neither room had a table for playing cards together in the evening while the kids slept. We were careful not to mess up the room (just changed into bathing suits) and the owner showed us another room available near my parents and had housekeeping get it ready so we could switch rooms after we were done at the pool. Most of the rooms have 2 king beds which is a bonus. After searching a bunch of online reviews we were worried about where to stay in Wildwood - not knowing the motels or if they were conveniently located to the places we wanted to see like Morey’s Piers. Our main concern was the hotel being clean - no bugs and no mildew/mold. The rooms are nice and the pool is huge for the size of the motel. There were plenty of pool lounge chairs and tables with umbrellas. It was a pleasant surprise and we’ll likely return. This hotel is about a 7 minute walk to a kids playground and splash pad and bike/surrey rental place. So between the 5 minute walk to the beach, the pool at the hotel, and the playground you have a ton of things within walking distance. You will need to drive to the boardwalk though - this hotel is a bit far to walk.

I walked in saw the dirt and disgusting shape the bed and place was in and walked out demanding my money back. I’m used to wildwood and know I’m not getting the Ritz Carlton but come on!!!! The pillows and the pull out had cheese crumbs and orange stains all over . The floor was soooo dirty. Like come on. They didn’t even fake clean it. Please save yourself the aggravation of employees pretending to not know English to avoid dealing w the refund. It’s one thing to be outdated but no reason to be dirty!!! I wasn’t the only one demanding refund. A lobby full of unhappy people. Beware and stay away!

We went there pre season. The our room had been completely refurbished. The new owner was great. He took use through the whole inn. Every room was either done or in process to being complete and should be done by season opening. Because the weather wasn’t great we spent a lot of time at the inn spending time with the owner. He was working hard to get any issues brought up in other reviews. We will be going back in September for sure

Great stay in wildwood crest. The motel is located towards the end of wildwood crest. Very close to the beach and to coffee shops in the morning to get breakfast. The room was renovated recently and had 2 king size beds. The water pressure in the shower was the best i ever had in a motel in wildwood. The owners are very sweet and accommodating. We will stay again next year.

check in was okay and the girls there work very hard and were very courteous to us with when we needed linens . the room was unfinished from being remodeled and the mattress and pillows were not comfortable and the one pillow had blood on it .the mattress hurt my husbands back and I have a bad back so it really was not comfortable to me at all ! also the cafe that was supposed to be there for our coffee and breakfast was not open as promised in the agreement . We had to go elsewhere . The room had no trim and the bottom had gaps and pieces of plaster and there was food on the floors and O even found an old pair of glasses that were very dirty under the bed ! Overall not a good experience for being in Wildwood Crest :(
