El hotel se encuentra a la vista exterior. El exterior se ve como la Torre de la Tierra Disney. Una vez en el lobby hay una pequeña televisión y sólo 4 sillas. El ascensor y las habitaciones están obsoletas y necesitan renovaciones. La cama era guapa, el sofá viejo y el tiempo. La unidad de aire acondicionado en el dormitorio tenía una gran brecha hacia fuera y yo podía mover la unidad en y fuera de la pared. El personal era impresionante, así como el mantenimiento de la casa. No hasta las normas de Sheraton.

1. La ubicación no está en el centro de la ciudad, está en el lado sur. El edificio tiene 10 pisos de altura y no hay otros edificios de gran altura en los alrededores. This was a lovely hotel, very clean and up to date. The front staff were very friendly and accommodating. The lounge however was atrocious. The man who was serving us was super friendly but got my friends dessert wrong and forgot mine. I wasn’t going to get one but he had suggested I try their sorbet which never came out. We didn’t mind as it was a debate between one dessert and the other so it didn’t matter and I wasn’t planning on getting one anyways. The thing that was probably the reason this hotel didn’t get 5 stars was the breakfast service. We specifically booked this hotel because the breakfast was included. The buffet was subpar so we didn’t have much on our plates. There were no servers for the first 20 min of us sitting down and no way to get any kind of drink ourselves. When they finally came out from wherever they were, we still didn’t get served drinks or checked on for at least 10 min. When we got our food, we were given a bill right away and told it was $33 each. (This is insane because they didn’t have much food anyways) We went to the front desk and they came with us to sort it out and talked to the waitress and when she came up to us, we asked her about the bill and she still said we had to pay so I went back to the front desk and they were very frustrated with this server as well. We ended up walking out of there. Westin edmonton lounge, do better.

I had an amazing stay at the Super 8. Sandy is amazing if you’re checking in with her, and the lady in the pub has fantastic service skills. I wish I had of caught her name. She’s fantastic and very attentive. My only complaint is after I left the hotel. I had accidentally left my single use contact lenses in my room. I obviously didn’t realize this until I was getting ready the next morning. I phoned the Super 8 to see if I had accidentally left them….and honestly had to really push for them to look in the lost and found. Thankfully, they found them. I had an emergency pair in my purse “just in case”, but had I have not had the emergency pair, I would have been unable to drive or even see 2 feet in front of me. When I picked them up, they clearly had my old room number and date attached to the “lost item”. I really would have appreciated a two minute phone call or text message to let me know that I had left something behind. Luckily, I was still in the area to be able to pick them up. When I expressed my disappointment to the front desk about the lack of contact, a manager (I think) was there to immediately jump on me to let me know that it was my fault for leaving something behind. I completely and fully understand that it was my mistake that I left something behind, however it would have taken a two minute call to let me know and I would have immediately turned around to pick them up. My recommendation would be to simply just let guests know if they leave something substantial behind. Many of your guests are travelling and are unable to drive back to pick things up when they realize something is missing. Small things make a big difference in the service industry. :) Regardless, I’ll be back! It’s one of my faves in Sherwood Park.
