With panoramic views of Edinburgh Castle and Arthur’s Seat, the family-run Ardleigh House is less than one mile from Leigh Dock. It offers comfortable rooms and free parking. Rooms at the Ardleigh are decorated in warm colours and have pinewood wardrobes and writing desks. Rooms include TVs and a hospitality tray. The spacious dining room serves traditional cooked Scottish and vegetarian breakfasts. There are several excellent bistro’s and seafood restaurants surrounding the dock. The Royal Botanic Gardens are just 500 metres from the Ardleigh. There is a bus stop outside the guest house with regular services to Edinburgh city centre, which is 1.5 miles away. Excellent experience. Lovely owner lovely room lovely breakfast. Can't fault it at all. Will definitely go back. Lovely and quiet. Nicely decorated. Helpful owner. Me and my partner had a great 2 night stay in October 2022

At last minute owner refused to take credit card at property and it was cash only. When questioned why the change and how could we work something out, he spitefully cancelled the reservation leaving us stranded to either pay over double for a lesser property nearby or leave Edinburgh. DO NOT GIVE THIS MAN YOUR BUSINESS. Spiteful people who act like this do not deserve to be rewarded. BUYERS beware.

Great location, on main bus routes for city centre. Bob is an extremely attentive and helpful host. Breakfast was superb, tea and coffee provided in the room and the room was serviced daily, which many bigger and more expensive places have stopped. Plenty of free parking close to the Guest House. The room was very clean and serviced daily, however the room decor is a little dated. This did not detract in any way and this Guest house represents great value for money.
