The location is good and hotel needs updating, the carpets and hallway look outdated, the rooms service was leaving only two large towels even though there was 3 occupants in the room, the staff were very helpful, the chef/kitchen is poor, long waits just to get chicken fingers and chips, the menu is over priced for what you get, (portion are small for the price) we got cauliflower soup and it was like water and the soup bowl was not even warm, we only eat there once and had appetizers on our last night, I would stay again if the price was right but I would not eat there unless there is a big change with the restaurant chef, the breakfast was traditional Irish, not much of a fresh fruit options unless it was all taken by 9am when I came down for breakfast.

Everything was wonderful and the staff where the best, especially Sophia at the front desk. So patient. Also the gentlemen I met at 4:40am waiting for the bus on Tuesday April 4th.
The Castle needs some updating regarding the outside.

For the price we paid I would expect a bit higher standard. The place was not refurnished for a long time and you can see it. I get it it is old fashion but this is not what I mean here. Was cold overall and darkish. Will I come back ? No not really.

Get the negatives out the way first. Very average water pressure (my lifelong bugbear) and a slightly convoluted system for use of the pool.
Other than that, fantastic in every way. The drive up to the hotel was made extra special by the great lights (we were there just before Xmas). Staff were helpful, professional and friendly in the perfect balance. Room was clean, well furnished, and spacious. Perhaps slightly dark for some but not sure we actually worked out how to turn all the lights on!!! Restaurant was great value and dishes slightly quirky without being weird. Again, perfectly judged. Overall, absolutely loved it and wish we had more than 1 night.

I have stayed there before. It was ok. The breakfast is great. The mattress is very old and thin. Time to get better mattresses.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The dining facilities were very good. The bathroom had some lazy trim renovation/repair but everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed our time there for sure. Full disclosure, there was a water leak problem our last night that caused us to be woken up and sent to a marshaling area. They got the problem resolved within an hour and we were back in our room asleep shortly after.

Room was spacious. Hospitality was top notch. There was an unfortunate event. We had to evacuate due to a water leak and was without electricity/water for part of the night, however, the hotel agreed to refund the night and make things right. Would recommend anyone to stay here. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10

Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel is an excellent hotel for all your travel needs. Both the interiors and exteriors are simply breathtaking giving one the feeling of being a royalty while staying there yet the place offers excellent amenities at par with most modern hotels. Highly recommended.
