You had earlier made your reservation on a different online booking site for 5 nights. On that particular online site, the final rate displayed is inclusive of Tourism Dirham fee. However, when you chose to extend your stay by another 5 nights, you made your reservation on Trip.com. In this reservation site, TD fee is not included and the guest have to pay the same directly to the Hotel. The Receptionist on duty was explaining the same to you. We regret if you have felt offended as the staff was merely doing his job for collecting the correct amount due from you.We thank you for your understanding and hope this clarifies the issue. I have personally investigated into all your interactions with the reception staff. You had made a reservation on online platform for 2 Adults only. When you arrived at the Hotel, you were 4 Adults. The 2 children accompanied with you were 14 yrs & 13 yrs which was not disclosed when making the reservation on the online portal. Hence, the extra charges had to be collected at the Hotel at the time of check-in. We regret, the receptionist could not waive off the charges as requested by you. Eventually, a discount was extended for the 2 children accompanied. The Hotel has a 24-hour Reception / Maintenance / Housekeeping team available who work round-the-clock to resolve any guest issues immediately when reported. Unfortunately, nothing was reported during your stay. At the Savoy, we take every genuine criticism and staff imperfection highlighted by the guest as a challenge to improve. The Hotel has a 24-hour Duty Manager / Front Office / Maintenance / Housekeeping who work round-the-clock to resolve any issues immediately when highlighted by the guest. The only issue highlighted was the air conditioner during your stay which was rectified. We always look forward to guest feedback to improve our service and standards.
