El personal fue muy servicial al conseguirme toallas, albornoces y zapatillas. Hay varios restaurantes de comida rápida disponibles a 10 minutos a pie. La entrada de Dovercliff está a unos 25 minutos a pie."

"The reason I booked this hotel was because it was the closest hotel to the ferry dock. Although it wasn't a 30-minute walk, I think it was a 20-minute walk. The room was spacious and the view was pretty as it was towards the sea. The bathroom sink is being drained very seriously. Even though it was early September, it was really hot because there was no air conditioning. There was a fan, but it didn't help."

"Approaching the end of the trip - the accommodation cannot be recommended higher. The host went above and beyond to help and guide myself and partner and saved us a lot of time by staying to explain the must see sights. Highly recommended."

"This is an amazing b and b. Greeted by Phil and Margaret and left our luggage while we explored the Dover Castle and White Cliffs. Took a taxi from the rail station since the property is straight uphill. The apartment unit is absolutely fantastic! Cute small kitchen and separate shower from the toilet and sink. The bedroom has a sitting area for watching the TV on a couch. Margaret has you fill out a breakfast order form the night before, with a choice of English breakfast or continental breakfast. The food is superb. Never saw such huge croissants. On our departure day due to lots of traffic in town, she took us in her own car to the rail station since. We never met such wonderful hosts of any B & B. If we find ourselves back in Dover, would definitely stay here again . Thank you both again for a wonderful stay. Would give it a 10 stars."

"Probably the most welcoming hotel I've ever visited! We booked 1 room for 4 adults last minute, because the place we were supposed to stay at cancelled on us when we'd got here. The lady who runs the place even gave us a second room free of charge when we got here! The hotel is conveniently located just a couple of mins walk from the town, sea front etc but just out the way enough that there's no noise. The hotel is stunningly decorated & furnished, and is very very clean. The lady who runs the hotel is so lovely. She was so friendly, chatty & happy to offer tips of places of interest, restaurants and so on. Every evening there was some kind of complimentary sweet treat in the entrance like muffins and biscuits. Then, our first morning there were complimentary croissants and pan au chocolate. On our last morning she invited us down to the restaurant where she put on a breakfast spread! Eggs, omelette, hash browns, sausage, bacon, baked beans, toast, jams, marmalade, honey, tea, coffee! She couldn't do enough for us, she's just soo lovely! We will definitely come again, couldn't recommend enough!"

"Highly recommended. Alex was very friendly and helpful, breakfast (self service) was great, price is of good value, bed was comfy, and the house built in 1834 was historical and well maintained. Only complaint is probably the low shower water pressure though, but it is not an issue considering the age of this house."

"Si quieres perder tu dinero... Hago una reserva via booking. com en el HOSTEL ALMA. Cuando llego al hotel nadie contesta, la puerta está cerrada y ventanas tapiadas. Nadie coge el teléfono. Hay una gasolinera enfrente y los trabajadores me dicen que está cerrado, que era un antiguo pub pero el propietario era alcohólico. Llamo a Booking para que ellos medien y tampoco les contestan a ellos. Voy a la policía. Me llevan al Travel Lodge de Dover. Me cargaron en la tarjeta 50 libras por la reserva que nunca recuperé."

"We stayed here for one night prior to a cruise. We were greeted by the inn keeper and promptly taken to our room. We had the Georgian King Suite. There are steep stairs at the entrance, the only way in. Once inside there are more steep stairs to our room. We were helped with our luggage. Our room was very nice, clean with en suite. The inn keeper made sure we had the proper power adapters. We had some but they were not correct. The room was quiet. The next day the inn keeper arranged a taxi for us. She was able to get the taxi driver to get our luggage from our room. A light breakfast was available in the morning. Coffee and tea available in room. Nice place to stay, just be prepared for the steps."

"Booked for 1 night to break up our trip back from abroad. The receptionist was instantly so welcoming. As we didn't have breakfast booked and I had two young children with me, she gave me some porridge pots and oat bars so they could eat in the morning before we left. I didn't even ask, she just offered. She told us the Beefeater restaurant next door was fully booked but my husband went over to see if their had been a cancellation or anything. The waitress saw we had tired young children with us and managed to squeeze us in a table as she said she was a mum herself and knew how difficult it can be when travelling with children. The food was fine, nice atmosphere. But the welcoming atmosphere we felt from the staff was just great. Thank you all. Room comfortable and clean. Nothing special but perfect for what we needed. Great place to stop to rest."
