Cielito Lindo Motel

this was the last place in town at 5:00 Saturday evening, i was just about to call it a night and sleep in my truck, the waitress in the restaurant i was in told me that this place may have rooms available but could not comment on the condition of the rooms. the place was an old school motel, went to the front desk to check on the rooms. and they had one for $150 / night thinking it couldn’t be to bad i got the room, then drove into the courtyard to park, unlocking the door the smell of 75 years of cigarettes rolled out of the room, to my surprise there was no power in the room, completely dark and Spooky looking, went back to my truck got the flashlight and took a look inside straight out of a horror movie. went back to the front desk and told the guy, he told me the beaker was in the closet, went back and tripped them and got the lights on, not one surface didn’t have some sort of stain on it the floors the chairs the bed, i expected to see a body outline on the floor, No Sh!t, i had to bring a blanket out of my truck put it on the bed sheets after pulling back the bed spread then put my sleeping bag on top of that, took off my shoes and took a few steps on the carpet it was so gross had to put my socks back on, most of the other people staying there were Immigrant families heading back to Mexico. With children this place is totally taking advantage of everybody due to lack of rooms in Delrio take my advice sleep in your car it’s not worth it I don’t have subject your children to this place
