Beautiful place at Starved Rock - North Utica

Perfect for a little family getaway! The heat advisory kept us inside more than we’d planned, but the place is set up nicely, so we still had a great time playing games and making meals together!

When we arrived there were garbage bags on porch probably from last person who stayed woke up this morning to garbage strewn all over the front porch animals got into it overnight disgusting. Condo was dirty, bugs all over the place. Stove where you push button to turn on all pushed in, no shampoo/body wash etc.

Place is run down. Cracks in walls and ceiling. Half the cabinets dont have hardware. Hosts stock it with the absolute minimum amount of paper towels, soap, ect. The main issue i have is the property decided to close the entire area and spray tar sealant over the parking lot right before a massive thunderstorm. We had to run through runny tar to get to the rental which ruined all of our shoes. When I asked for a small discount the owner ghosted me. There are dozens of other properties that look exactly like this one on the Waterpark property. Book one of those instead.

There were 5 beds total all super comfortable. Everything we needed in the kitchen plus awesome fun games for the kids age ranges from 11 to 17. We enjoyed it for our large group. Super comfortable, clean, and fun in beautiful wooded surroundings. I would book again soon.

Fun family vacation conveniently close to Starved Rock! Host was really easy to communicate with and even replaced the coffee maker during our stay! We cooked all of our meals in the kitchen so it definitely had the tools we needed. Games were so fun for the whole family! Master bedroom has very comfortable king size bed and 2 queen air mattresses in the closet. 2nd bedroom has 2 beds (fits 4 people). Our kids loved the fireplaces! Nice big kitchen!!

It was the perfect spot for my daughter‘s birthday party. They loved the arcade games and air hockey, etc.. plenty of room to cook, and do crafts. We all had a really nice time!

The kitchen has basically nothing beyond cups and silverware. No supplies otherwise. So be advised. The water is well water so it's discolored and smells. Check the dishwasher if you want to know what I mean. How this place would sleep 12 is beyond me. It's got three beds total, comfortable to be sure, but I don't count a provided air mattress as a bed.Be aware, just because you're staying within the resort, the water park has zero obligation to let you get a day pass to utilize it. They now only allow for you to get day passes if you're not staying at the hotel, on Thursdays.Anyway, it was warm and comfortable with the kids enjoying the games. TV worked and we could watch movies.

Overall very good, electronics were a little dated/difficult to navigate, but it had everything we needed, very spacious even though the cabin was split into different units. Still had a nice cabin in the woods/secluded feeling. Easy in and out.
