I spent one night in the Chelsea Hotel to do some sightseeing in Dar and it was very good for that purpose. The hotel was a little bit dated, but otherwise completely up to the standards which I expect from a hotel. It's located not far from the clock tower, which to my understanding pinpoints the centerpoint of the city. The actual sights I went to see started further away, about 20 minutes by foot. The room was adequate in size and had good aircon. I had a twin room. I first tried sleeping in the bed further away from the aircon, but the air blew directly there, so I had to move to the bed right under the aircon unit. The hotel was located close to a busy road and the honking of the cars could be heard up to the sixth floor. However it wasn't bad. The breakfast was ok. It didn't have a very wide selection, but the items I tried were tasty and of good quality. Also the setting in the restaurant was pleasant. The only negative I have to say is the extraorbitant exchange rate. I had paid my room rate in advance, but I had to pay the city tax (1.50 USD) at the hotel. I asked to pay in Tsh and had to pay 7000 Tsh, equivalent to about 3$. My loss was only 1.50$, so it wasn't a big deal in my case, but the principle left a bad taste in my mouth. If the room rate would have been 1.50$ higher but the city tax 3500 Tsh, I would have left as a happy customer. The hotel offered airport transfer for 42000 Tsh. It was quite pricy. The fixed price at the official taxi stand at the airport was 30000 Tsh. On the way back to the airport I used a rideshare app to get my transfer, it cost Tsh 12000.

I am very satisfied with the facilities as well as the services. The room was clean and spacey. For the breakfast, you can taste the Spanish omelette just cooked. The employees at the bar are very kind and polite. The laundry service was also very good. Clothes were delivered clean and well-folded. The security is also good since the inter elevator is separated from the outer one. The genera manager is the best. He is always willing to help you kindly, politely and well-mannered. I will definitely recommend this hotel and be back when a chance is given. Great to stay 😊

La higiene de la habitación también es buena, es que hay algunas distancias, la actitud del servicio también es buena, el entorno también es bueno aquí, hay cable, puede lavarse y desayuno gratis.

Hay un gran gimnasio al lado y hay mucha gente haciendo ejercicio, pero siempre hay ruidos de construcción fuera de los dos días que vivo, no soporto dos tazones.

Esta es mi segunda visita al hotel. Las habitaciones son agradables y limpias y tienen un personal amigable. Definitivamente escoger este hotel cuando visito Dar en negocios o con familia. Lo recomendaría a cualquiera

La ubicación es buena, a quince minutos a pie del mar, incluso en el CBD, el personal de servicio es muy entusiasta y educado, el desayuno es bueno, el restaurante de 360 grados del piso superior sigue un poco menos de la otra introducción, el hardware en general es similar al hotel de rápidos domésticos, Después de entrar en la puerta el primer día, dudo que me equivoqué. Hôtel sympa, avec chambre, terrasse qui donne sur une plage, la mer, incroyable, grande chambre, avec de l'espace, petit déjeuner devant la piscine et la vue au top, en plus bien situé, à côté de petit restaurant et autres activités, le service est top pour ma part, quelques animations de l'hôtel qui fais passer le temps en soirée. À revenir avec les amis pour passer un séjour à Dar Es Salaam.
