Kon-Tiki DaNang Hostel

Location is great but if you can find another hostel in the area I suggest it. Tiny bathrooms often with wet floors from the shower next to it, staff told me refilling water bottle was free but then tried to get me to buy water bottles from them instead on two separate occasions. I had given them plenty of business by staying there and doing tours but they had a problem with filling up my water bottle (also won’t let you fill it, you need to ask someone to do it for you). They advertised day tours to My Son Sanctuary but when I asked to do it they said they don’t do it anymore because not enough people signed up (ok? Then don’t advertise that you do it). I ended up going with a different company and the price was 300.000d cheaper than Kon Tiki had quoted me (which made me think I overpaid on the other tours I did through them). If you want to do a half day / day tour DO NOT book with Kon Tiki! They also advertised happy hour but when I asked about this they seemed like they had never heard of the words before. I showed them the “happy hour” poster that’s plastered on the door of the dorm and they said they don’t offer that anymore because not enough people did it (again, why are you advertising it then? I suggested they remove the misleading sign but 3 days later when I checked out it was still there). The free breakfast leaves much to be desired (just eggs and two pieces of plain toast with coffee or tea), they were also repairing the AC in the room every day, and the “bar” is just a mini fridge in the lobby. Bottom line, location is 5 stars and it’s pretty clean but that’s about it for positives.

Been in a number of hostels I can read into when the staff is being helpful for sake of being helpful but in here, I could sense that the staff genuinely wants to help you. They are quiet unless approached but responsive. Location is close to Dragon and Love bridges, Son Tra Night Market and within walking distance to My Khe Beach and most bars on the other side. It is not party social but I've seen some travelers connecting in some spaces. There is no curfew but they close the gate at night (bringing in motorbikes and shoes). Staff immediately wakes up but it can be uncomfortable ringing the bell to wake staff up. Free breakfast is included - eggs depending on how you want it done and coffee or tea.

As an older couple we stood out amongst the young backpackers but it was an excellent place to stay with large room, TV, A/C and ref. The staff were very friendly and helped us tremendously. Excellent location to see the dragon breathing water and fire, only 400m away. Only one complaint. Breakfast every day was 2 fried eggs and 2 slices of bread. This was very disappointing for a country that is famous for its BAHN MI.

it's great to come to the hotel is very clean and airy, the staff is very professional and attentive, I highly recommend this hotel and recommend everyone to come here to relax very convenient about night to see the fire-breathing dragon bridge.

Really nice place. We stayed for two nights in the 8 people room for a really cheap price. The stuff is super kind and really helpful if you need some advice about how to move around the city. Also you can rent scooters there which made our trip way easier. Recommended!

This is a highly recommended place! I have stayed more than week in different backpack in Vietnam. Even midnight check in, staff is professional to guide me the room facilities and information! Feel like stay in a hotel. A very friendly and warm welcome place in Danang. They provide the shampoo, body wash, towels to use. Dorm room with curtains. On top of that, breakfast is included and it was delicious!!!
