"Caveat: It seems from reading reviews on another site the problem may lie with one female employee. It is unfortunate I chose a night she was working for a room for my wife during a multi-day road trip. I made the reservation for my wife as she was driving across France and wasn't sure when she would need to sleep. I wasn't able to confirm any details by calling the property because of a language barrier but that didn't bother me because my wife is French and speaks natively. The demeanor of the lady checking my wife in was beyond a Parisian cold. Given what my wife has explained she was just rude. And my wife is someone who never likes to complain about customer service. The coup de gras was her being asked to pay the next morning after I had already paid. My wife thought I had paid on the website but she is not confrontational. Overall, there is another hotel chain in France that shares the name of a bird. I would highly recommend you go there for quick overnight stays. For the same price you will receive the same accomodations but with kinder service. But I must admit there was a lady the next day that we spoke to, Julie, who was very kind. Yet, I will never reserve another room there. In case the staff would like to reply and say this has to do with the restaurant being closed on Sunday, it does not. While we were surprised that it was closed we were prepared and I found my wife a place close by she could stop for a takeaway meal before she arrived at the hotel. Yet I do wonder how your guests eat on a Sunday. If it is as ridiculous as your scoff implied then all restaurants must be closed on Sunday and of course they aren't. Train your people to have some manners. Teach them, no customers, no job. "

Ibis Styles Bourbon Lancy

"Booking was made via Agoda, Singapore, which worked admirably before. Got confirmation for the correct hotel and correct amount. Could not have a meal at the hotel. Had to do with so-so expensive burgers at a local place. Hotel had not received payment confirmation. The amount due has been reserved on credit card, paid at the hotel once more. We've probably been scammed by Agoda, or hackers of their systems, but ibis/Accor (hackers?) may also be the source of this mishap. Will post comment on Agoda as well. Ibis has a complaint program, but they want to place too many unknown effect cookies and we can't have that, can we now? Your average common user's privacy may not be asessed. Too complicated. We've stayed at other ibis hotels and they were of a lot better quality than this place in Bourbon-Lancy. From now on, we'll be very wary using either Agoda or ibis/Accor."
