"We stayed 1 night going home to Rio Rancho, NM. The room we stayed at was on 2nd floor. The hall smelled very badly of mold and mildew. The room was so bad I gagged and I am a nurse who has handled many nasty odors. The clerk gave us a 2nd room and went to the room with us. It was better, but still was still stinky. Clerk said, “It isn’t setting off my allergies.” That is because it has smelled like that for years! The heat/ac had to be turned off because the fan made so much noise. We didn’t complain because we were tired and it was late. The rooms look like they are 60 years old. There are only 2 little garbage cans and no recycle. The hotel still has smoking rooms. Isn’t it about time time to get into the 21st century??!! There were only 2 hand towels, 2 wash clothes, and 1 large towel. I stayed there with my husband. We didn’t want to shower in the very old and yellow looking shower with beer glass shower doors. After going into the bathroom, entering the room it smelled of mold and mildew, I suspect from years of moisture in the air. I would rather sleep in my car than stay there again."
