Decided on this place for a late Easter break having seen many a good review. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very nice male receptionist, helpful, polite and welcoming, named Miguel, I think? (The other male receptionist upon leaving on the 06/04 was really miserable!) Reception was nice and very clean. We were given our room 222 which was just out of reception and up one flight of stairs. Perfect position, not far to the canteen (yes canteen not restaurant) and close all the hotel amenities. Room. Our room was slightly bigger and well laid out because it was just off a slight corner so the living area was a good space. Huge balcony with the sun on from 2.30pm till sun down. All in all an excellent space Now the problems - bathroom door would not shut, over whelming smell of bathroom sealant and generally the room was dirty. The beds hadn't been made up for the children on our booking so we had to pop back to reception and ask. The Mattress protector was absolutely disgusting so we had to have that changed as well. I did collar the cleaner who came in and gave the floor a very quick sweep. The cleaner was very poor throughout the holiday, attention to detail wasn't just lacking it was non existent - We wore pop socks while in the rooms the whole time as your feet would be black! If your going as a family of 4 in a one bed apartment you will struggle for wardrobe space, literally no storage in the living area. Pool & Pool bar area. The pools were huge and well laid out. Big one was freezing but the smaller one by the bridge was nice and warm. Kids slides are a fantastic addition but again very cold. The big pool was much better when the weather hit 28/29c. Plenty of sunbeds so that was never a problem, although if you wanted a prime spot you would have to be down before breakfast to bag one. Pool bar is nice, its just the food and drink served from there that isn't. Never in my life have I seen a hotel transfer the left over hot breakfast items to a pool side snack bar, seriously. Eventually these were replaced by Burgers, hot dogs, fries, onion rings, tuna pasties, cold meats, salad etc. I liked the burgers, they were of reasonable quality and made a good cheese burger, however these ran out 3 days into our 11 night holiday with the staff unsure when they'll have them again, and we never did have them again.... The tuna sandwich from the snack bar was great to, but like the burgers never got restocked. Canteen & Club House (Restaurant & Piano Bar) No its not a restaurant, its a canteen. Tables are not laid, you have to fetch you own cutlery and napkins. My advice is get there as they open the doors at 6pm as from 6.45pm till 8pm you'll struggle to get seated. People were queuing at the door. Breakfast, same things every morning. Luke warm hot selection. Pancakes made fresh but often unavailable as a lot of the children were grabbing 3 or 4 at a time, eggs were hit and miss, omelette available but no flavour like cheese or ham offered
