Very silent and good environment! Besides, it is close to University of Essex where my daughter’s graduation ceremony was located. The staff are nice and helpful. The food of restaurant is yummy and the prices are reasonable.

This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in the UK. It’s extremely clean and comfortable to stay at. The location is superb and the atmosphere is relaxing as well.

As I had a graduation ceremony, this hotel was perfect because it had a great location. Just a few minutes walking to the campus of the University of Essex. The room was spotless and very comfortable, so I had a nice sleep.

I think this hotel is clean and kind.

房間挺大的，非常乾淨，所有用品都有不用自帶，酒店的公共區域很英式，酒店門口有很大一片草地非常漂亮，清晨跑個步真的很贊，還有埃塞克斯大學的校園景色就在邊上也是非常的美。

酒店環境優美，房間非常乾淨舒服住兩晚，餐廳餐飲美味。周邊配套幼兒園，超市，靠近埃塞克斯大學。周圍是國家級森林公園，散步可見可愛的小動物

酒店位置很好找，環境也不錯。前台的小哥哥很熱心，當我發現房間打不開後，他第一時間就叫人幫我解決了問題。酒店包的早餐是自助式，能吃到很飽。旁邊就是埃大，距離酒店僅有五分鐘路程，毗鄰國家級的森林公園，空氣清新令人愉悦。

這是我第二次入住，非常漂亮，舒適，干淨的優秀酒店！

Absolutely lovely afternoon tea. We were lucky because the weather was amazing so we asked to sit outside and they were happy to accommodate this. Staff were all really friendly and professional. Only negative comment for the hotel itself is the unisex toilets.

We stayed at Wivenhoe House over our wedding weekend with around 40 guests and the hotel were exceptional over the entire weekend. All of our guests were very complimentary of the staff and they decorated our room with lovely gifts for when we arrived back to the hotel on our wedding night. Everyone is incredibly friendly and can't do enough for you at this hotel, the breakfast is lovely and it's a very peaceful, beautiful setting. We can't recommend this hotel enough. We went for afternoon tea and the service we received was terrible. We were sat down the lady took our voucher number and order for tea or coffee, was never asked if we wanted any other drinks and wasn’t given any chance to look at menus prior. The food arrived pretty sharply the sandwiches lacked filling and flavour and still had the crust on. We finished our coffee before we started on our cakes and no came back to check on us or replenish our drinks. We finished our afternoon tea and then waited a further 55 minutes before someone came over to offer us anything else. I ordered a tea and my partner had a beer my tea arrived in a dirty tea pot and my partner didn’t get his beer for a further 10 minutes. We then waited another 30 minutes for someone to come over for the bill. We eventually gave up and went to the bar where again there was a wait even though there was 7+ members of staff on for 4 tables. After the service we received we will not be returning back which is such a shame because the location is beautiful and so is the hotel it’s self, it’s such a-shame that the waiting staff let the whole experience down. We felt almost invisible and I could only imagine it’s because we paid with a voucher and not as we were going like the ladies who sat a table in front of us who seemed to be regulars and got much better service to what we got.

We had been bought a gift voucher for Afternoon tea. Booked it online no problem, was telephone a couple days before to check dietary requirements. Arrived on the day was shown to our table lovely staff. Unfortunately the food was not up to standard . The sandwiches had some crusts left on, some of the sandwiches had been made with the end of loaf topper , . Had strong margarine inside and very little fillings. The scones were not edible very heavy and so dry we couldn’t eat them .maybe a couple of days old. We told the waiter he did offer to get more but we did not take him up on the offer thinking they would prob be from the same batch. The little cakes were nice the tea and coffee was nice but such a shame as we had driven from Danbury it took over an hour to get there and we were back on the road homeward bound after just thirty minutes .
