I have stayed at hostels before, so I was expecting multiple beds in one room. This hostel has a private room, as well as groupings of three and five. I selected the grouping of five for the very low rate of $34, three miles from the Hyatt convention center. I was pleasantly surprised that there were two beds in my room, there was a keypad lock on the door, and that my roommate was also a woman. Later I realized the other three beds were upstairs, and my room the corridor. I did commit to a five bed room, so I really wasn’t flustered. The bedding smelled fresh, like it had been laundered with bleach, and the three bathrooms were very clean. I like hostels b/c it is a chance to meet people around the globe. My roommate was Brazilian, I made breakfast alongside a man from India, and at breakfast exchanged thoughts about travel and public transportation in Europe vs the U.S. with a young man from Austria. This particular hostel offers bicycles to get around the city. It was a cheap, affordable place to stay, but staying requires a flexible mindset. You don’t get the bathroom to yourself & sometimes there is a line, the bedroom door does open & close as people move through the room. There is a level of trust to sleep with strangers. I gave it three stars as “ average” b/c it is much like hostels I have experienced in the past.

La primera era muy limpia y desaparecida. La mujer en el escritorio era muy agradable. El hotel es un hotel muy bien situado, pero no es un hotel muy bien situado. Le dije el trato que me dio y el otro caballero me dio. Le dijo que tenían un sistema de precios y me dijo el precio. Le dije que tenía Triple a y sé que puedo conseguir un descuento con ser miembro. Me dio el 10% del costo de la habitación. Yo personalmente reservé una habitación sin desayuno, los turistas chinos notaron que no hay artículos de tocador ni pantuflas. Todos los días desayuno en el restaurante de al lado. Había varias cosas malas, sin embargo, que hizo que la estancia fuera inferior a la media: habitación no lista por hora de entrada, habitación dada estaba faltando microondas y asiento de baño no estaba limpio (tenía puntos y un pelo), la ventana en la habitación era fea (puede no haber estado allí, ya que no podía verlo), el desguace estaba a lo largo del parque de estacionamiento y permaneció allí durante 4 días, la puerta trasera estaba abierta frente a la llave del huésped para abrir, y no había protocolos COVID, El hotel está en renovación, por lo que espero que las ventanas estén en la lista, pero dijeron que habían hecho habitaciones en mi piso. La experiencia de mi viaje de 3 días a Columbus me ha hecho muy decepcionante el único viaje que tengo este año. UUsuario invitadoNot worth the price. We reserved a room with a spa tub for 2 nights. When we came in we were told there was a $200 cash deposit for the room. This was not stated on the website when I reserved the room and this was in addition to the $195 nightly room cost. The front desk guy must have sensed our irritation because then he changed it to he ”would just keep our card on file.” He then spouted a whole list of rules we had to follow for the room, which included no parties and no one in the room but us. We are in our late 40s, look clean and well dressed. We were just there to celebrate our anniversary and relax but clearly this guy didn't care and treated us like criminals in the making. The hotel is dated and looks worn down. Not as clean as it should be. The front desk staff weren't very friendly. One even commented to us about how she didn't believe a couple with a service dog really needed the dog. She thought because the dog wanted to smell someone that it wasn't a real service dog. They never came to clean our room. We had to ask for new towels. The dust ruffle on the bed was filthy and there were reddish pink stains on the carpet that made us not want to walk barefooted on the carpet. All said I will never go back. I have been in similar hotels for less money that are much cleaner and updated, with friendlier staff.
