A return stay, after a 9 week stay from early December to mid February, I found all the staff to be warm, friendly and very helpful with any issues I had during my stay.. For me the location is ideal, close to the shops, restaurants etc. I will shortly be making a reservation for 8 days in May/June so I think this says it all as far as I am concerned!

We stayed for 3 nights from 19th-22nd May, we were attending a wedding in the area and wanted somewhere to extend it to a weekend break. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout however, the initial investment to move away from a conference centre needs updating. The first room we were allocated had carpet I would expect to find in an office and bed that squeaked everytime I shifted my weight to the extent that it woke me and my husband up throughout the night. Having told the reception staff after the first night I was advised they would let the maintenance team know. We returned very late that day and it was clear nothing had been done about the bed but just went to bed because of the time. When I complained the next day that I was told that the maintenance team don’t work weekends. We were not initially offered another room because the hotel was apparently full. The second morning we were offered another room, which was smaller than the first, and that was not very big! We were offered a third room which was larger than the first two, but had ants near the window and you could tell the bed has not been updated for a while as the spring could be felt in the mattress. We gave up and slept in the room and it was a better night than the first two. We also found a detection card of some kind under the bed of the first room that was dated from 2001! And there were other signs around the hotels main building and additional buildings that they just don’t have enough staff, things like beer glasses around from events the day/night before but still out at midday. The overall impression is that outside weddings and conferences it’s trying to compete with a mid-range hotel market, however, despite paying more it didn’t feel like we got a room or bed that couldn’t be matched in a chain of hotels who would guarantee a good night sleep and ensure the beds were regularly updated. The breakfast was included but nothing that couldn’t be had in a well-known chain and with less choice/options. We wouldn’t recommend it unless you were staying overnight as part of a wedding package/party. Ok for one night but disappointing as a weekend getaway.

Stayed at the Donnington manor hotel on the 20/21 April after attending a nearby wedding. On arrival greeted by a polite attentive assistant, already checked in online, so only had to register car for free parking and collect room key. Room 307 second floor, very nice room clean , well decorated and quiet. All the public area's in hotel in very good decrotive condition. Sleepy well on memory foam mattress, slept well. On Sunday morning went for breakfast in the restaurant buffet style, good selection of fresh fruit cereal and cooked meats, eggs cooked to your order (nice touch) all good quality fayre enjoyed breakfast, and service by all staff. If in area would definitely stay again

El hotel estaba limpio y el personal estaba muy amigable. La ubicación fue difícil de encontrar, pero en general fue una buena estancia. Bonus que había un WHS 24h mercado.

El personal del Spa y Orangery es excelente con la excepción de un masaje muy suenado. Mi cara fue una hermosa experiencia. Por el costo del Spa, yo esperaba más. Los huéspedes sentían sus masajes más cortos que el tiempo asignado. Las pantallas de entre duchas son casi transparentes. Las duchas necesitan champú de lujo, geles de ducha y lociones de cuerpo y mano. La zona de maquillaje es demasiado pequeña para las damas que se encantan para el té de la tarde o el almuerzo post-spa. También hay que tener más desechos. La naranja está decorada hermosamente y luz y aire. El té de la tarde es muy pequeño y las refinerías de comida son tristemente cargables. El té está refinado. Las botas son pequeñas y no calientes. En general, el gran personal de la casa y el decoro de calidad cubre una falta de sustancia en las instalaciones y los alimentos que se siente como un desahucio en uno de los hoteles más destacados de Tun Wells.
