neues Hotel zuoberst auf einem Wohn- und Geschäftshaus direkt am Bahnhof und an der Busstation Mendrisio. Ausgezeichnete Lage für Ausflüge ins Mendrisotto mit dem öV! Ausserordentlich schöne, grosszügige und saubere Zimmer mit sehr guter Schallisolierung und guten Betten. Guter Aufenthaltsraum mit wunderbarem Rundblick im 6.Stock. Sehr freundliches Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum, sogar vergessene Kabel fürs Handy werden ausgeliehen! Grosszügiges Frühstücksbuffet, sehr angemessener Preis fürs Zimmer. Gerne wieder einmal!

A very comfortable hotel with lovely staff. Very helpful, even ironed my colleague's shirt in the evening. Restaurant has great Pizza but choice of wine is not the best. Too much Merlot which I don't like and no cognac for after dinner.

La habitación era bastante normal, aunque cómoda, y el resto era perfecto. Y la comida de la noche fue un gran momento para nosotros para el placer. Los gustos perfectos, la selección de vinos tan perfecta, y un servicio excelente, que combina la gentilidad, la competencia y el profesionalismo, con el toque de buen humor y la gentilidad del sur. Y la recepción y el desayuno nos gusta mucho también.

El hotel está muy cerca de la estación, la habitación es grande y limpia. Es una tienda abierta por una pareja de ancianos y la tienda es muy sencilla. Espere hasta que seamos las 12 de la noche. El croissant para el desayuno es delicioso. Sin embargo, Chiasso está cerca de Italia, el inglés de la tienda no es muy bueno y el intercambio es un poco difícil.

Hotel: 3/5 SPA area: 4/5 Restaurant (dinner): 5/5 Restaurant (breakfast): 2/5 Hotel: in need of TLC. The rooms are outdated, but functional. We got a little room on the side wing, but still had the view of the mountains and even some lake. The beds were ok. The bathroom also outdated, but satisfactory. SPA area: sauna, steam bath, relaxation room, massage room, indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi. Robes are extra and cost 10CHF. Towels for SPA are available in rooms only. For us the jacuzzi was the highlight, a very relaxing feature. Restaurant (dinner): very very impressed. Bread basket with olive bread was fantastic to tamper our hunger initially. For mains we got Ossobucco and Steak and both dishes were very well executed. The cheese board (Menu Ticino) was bigger than expected and we ended up sharing (it was a very large 1-person portion). The dessert that came in Menu Ticino was mistaken, but quickly corrected when we brought it to the attention of the waiter. Service a little slow. Restaurant (breakfast): very disappointed. The coffee is not great. Porridge is cold and has a ton of sugar in it. Cereal selection not bad. The meats were ok. Cheeses not great. Bread selection good. Loads of fruit, for those who eat it. Scrambled eggs not available at the buffet. Overall a pleasant stay but: the hotel was not full and a room upgrade would have been nice. Location is quite remote and might be a stressful drive to unsure drivers. Plenty of parking spaces. Complimentary water in room at arrival. Average.

el personal muy amable, el servicio de desayuno maravilloso buffet variado y de excelente calidad, el spa es bastante chulo también y al estar hospedado entras gratis (aunque con lo que cuesta una habitación normal) y sobretodo a destacar que pueden entrar niños al spa, como en francia en España este tema de niños a spa que son más educados que algunos adultos lo tenemos mal porque hay mucha prohibición, hemos estado de maravilla sólo no pongo excelente porque la única pega que puedo poner es que la limpieza de la habitación exquisita perfecta pero en el balcón habían cada noche como 7 arañas con su telarañas lo comuniqué al servicio de limpieza y no me hiceron ni caso aún enseñandole las fotos, si tienes aracnofobia no vayas, por lo demás todo excelente y el trato del personal fantástico, exceptuando un chico con coleta que había en piscina que me dijo que no nadará fuerte porque salpicaba las mesas de la terraza, en fin... siempre aparace algún tonto... no había nadie en la terraza de la piscina en ese momento en fin aparte de este chico todo el personal maravilloso, quizás también cambiaria el color amarillo de la fachada que es un poco cutre por fuera pero por dentro muy lujoso y limpio (excepto terrazas con arañas)
