Hoteles cerca del Carson, Pirie, Scott and Company Building, Chicago

This is a historical hotel in Chicago, love it very much. I love their restaurant & bar, good atmosphere and serve with good foods (see my pictures). I will definitely choose this hotel again by the next time to Chicago

The location is great. The cleanliness of our room was fantastic. I asked for a luggage cart to be at the room at x and the front desk said I needed to call for the cart. Really? It took over 15 minutes for a bellhop to arrive at 6:45 in the morning. There is an additional $25 a day charge that is not disclosed at booking. The coffee costs more than Starbucks...? We bypassed getting our room cleaned for two days. On the 3rd it was never addressed. Staff said ... oops. It used to be THE hotel to stay at in Chicago. The last two nights teenagers were running around unsupervised and making noise until security was called. Probably not going back, so sad.

This was perfect one night staycation. Superb location, friendly and attentive service. Appreciated acknowledgement of my Titanium Bonvoy status with a complimentary upgrade, and a small gift, as well as free breakfast. Common areas are well designed and all decked into holiday decor, a lot of small and pleasant touches throughout. Great spacious room with awesome views, and understated luxury atmosphere. Bathroom was also quite nice, needless to say. Well, the best part: it was complimentary stay for us, as I was using my free night benefit. It would be expensive otherwise, but this is typical of excellent St Regis brand. Highly recommended! Well, particularly if the price is right.

No me gustó para nada este hotel. Le urge una remodelación. Se vé viejo y sucio, la habitación olía feo. Demasiado pequeña, hubo que guardar un sillón en el closet para poder poner los velices. La alfombra se veía sucia, había un alambrito de una botella (supongo que de champagne) tirado en una esquina, tenía también una mancha de salsa de pizza; al desdoblar una toalla del baño para usarla, salió una mosca (de las grandes) muerta. No tenían espejo de aumento, que actualmente la mayoría de los hoteles tienen. Tampoco tiene extractor de aire en el baño. Para que limpien el cuarto hay que avisar con 24 horas de anticipación, lo cual hicimos al siguiente día de haber llegado (llegamos a la media noche para amanecer un día sábado), llamamos a housekeeping para pedir el servicio, dijeron que nos anotarían pero que comoquiera avisáramos en el front desk, lo hicimos también pero no fueron a limpiar sino hasta el lunes, después de volver a llamar y reclamar que no habían ido. En cuanto a ubicación, está bien situado, cerca de Magnificent Mile, pero eso es todo. Si no, no le hubiera dado tantas estrellas.

After taking a friend’s recommendation to change our hotel booking from the RI Chicago Downtown/River North as it’s a newer property, closer to the action, and their family friend is the GM — we happily did so about a week before my daughter’s 11th birthday weekend trip over Canadian Thanksgiving/Chicago marathon. Especially because there was a 2-bedroom suite for our family of 4 which was a huge win at $1000USD per night. Recognizing there would be a higher chance of winning the lottery this weekend than having a hotel room ready for early check-in, I still called en route from the airport as I always do, and also as a courtesy to let them know we’re on our way and will require concierge services to store our bags in the meantime. The front desk manager Andrew answered the call and very abruptly and rudely said with a scoff “Your 2-bedroom suite is our most in demand room so no, it’s not going to be ready early.” Just the way in which he said it took me aback a little but I’d just come off a flight, maybe I was tired so I shook it off. He then proceeded to use the same dismissive tone when I asked two follow-up questions: “When is our room expected to be ready then?” — “Normal check-in time, 4pm.” “Is there somewhere my girls can change and freshen up from our flight?” — “No there’s nowhere for your kids to change here.” I found that response a bit bizarre so I rephrased it: “You mean, there’s not even a lobby washroom that we can use to freshen up from our flight in?” - “Well, you can use the bathroom if you want to. I’m just saying we don’t have change rooms or anything set up for you to change in.” My husband and I have both been in the sales and service industry, albeit finance, for over 20 years. There’s not much that bothers us, or would compel us to write a review to share a negative experience. I will always make sure that I give someone the grace to course correct, as I would hope someone gives me, if I have acted out of character or said something or done something to hurt someone’s feelings. Whatever Andrew was going through that day, the immediate impact of his words was taking the wind right out of our sails for an exciting and special birthday weekend within minutes of arriving in Chicago. So I reached out to the GM Tommie Van to express exactly this point - that tone matters. Words matter. Tommie assured me he would take care of rectifying the situation and when we checked in at 4pm, the girls would be “elated” about what the hotel was going to set out for us. After a day touring Chicago, we arrived back at the hotel at 5:45pm, exhausted, and giving them additional time for our rooms. As the two-bedroom suite on this property is two adjoining rooms - only one room (the girls bedroom with two double beds) was ready. The main room (one-bedroom suite with dining area, kitchen, etc) was not ready and we would get a call later on. La ubicación es muy buena, el hotel viejo es un poco viejo, no hay mucho servicio, al momento de hacer el check in esperé mucho tiempo, porque un mesero atendió el teléfono por 20 minutos, que parecía ser una llamada de consulta. Otro bien.

Al principio, hubo un problema con la recaudación de dinero. Ctrip cobró la tarifa de la habitación. El hotel lo cargó de nuevo. Después de comunicarse con Ctrip, se resolvió en unos días. El hotel devolvió el precio de la habitación. Ctrip ayudó activamente a resolver el problema. Lo único malo fue la reserva del hotel. El taxi no tiene taxímetro, se siente un poco picado. Usa Uber. No dejes que el hotel reserve un coche.

La habitacion esta linda y con buena vista en mi caso,,, pero, lanentable la falta de servicio en las habitaciones y limpieza en general. Coincido con la opinion de MM SOSA que estuvo unos meses atras. Lamentablemente , yo habia estado en el hotel de New York antes de la pandemia y era muy bueno. Me encontre con esto,,, que parece un hostel de estudiantes sucio. Una pena que un hotel de 400 habitaciones se descuide de esta manera en tremenda ubicacion ,,,,

Mi hermana y yo vivimos en Chicago (vivo 10 minutos del hotel). Queríamos tomar una estancia rápida. La Sable está cerca de muchos lugares icónicos y históricos en Chicago. El hotel era para vivir!!! El personal era absolutamente increíble!!! Muebles contemporáneos, un increíble baño y habitaciones confortables. Las vistas fueron inestimables dentro y fuera del hotel. Nos caminamos por todas partes. Hay bares, restaurantes, tiendas, excursiones de barcos, entretenimiento, etc ... a una distancia de paseo del hotel. ¡Qué maravilloso sería una subestimación!
