Nice and clean. Comfy beds. Good location. The staffs are approachable and helpful.

The hotel is located within the Alishan National Scenic Area, which is very convenient if you're planning to join a sunrise or sunset tour. They also offer drop-off service to the Alishan transport station, but you’ll need to inform them in advance. Breakfast coupons are provided for a nearby restaurant, which is basically local taiwainese food. When we checked in, the staff seemed a bit off or in a bad mood, but the rest of the staff we met afterward were friendly and helpful.

Great location, the room is clean although compact. You can directly book sunrise and sunset tours.

The hotel is relatively new and clean. It has water dispenser (hot, warm, cold) on every floor which means no need to buy drinking water back to hotel. There are many eateries nearby so no need to worry about no food to eat at night. As hotel is within the Alishan park, can go on the day of check in and the following day. It’s better to go to the park in the morning as there will be less people around. We went around 8am and not many people were there. Breakfast provided was at nearby restaurant. Not tasty but ok. Suggest just take the porridge and bread. Don’t like the fried noodles and veggies. Bed was not pocketed spring. I could not sleep well as the bed bounce when my partner tossed and turned. There were lints on the bedsheets which I found uncomfortable. Ended up sleeping on top of the quilt and hence feeling very cold when I slept. Comfortable room size

Dafeng Hotel is located within Alishan Recreational Park, walking distance to the park trails entrance. Room was clean, shower area is spacious, toilet with seat warmer.

Hotel is good but a bit cold after the centra heater was turned off after midnight. Electric blanket is fine but can’t adjust. Breakfast was at a local restaurant in the main plaza. Not a good place for breakfast.

The room was nice and clean, and the location was fantastic, but the room had no heating, which I found was not acceptable given the price and the cold temperatures in December. Also, the window could not be opened, so it had poor ventilation. A little overpriced in general.

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Even arranged for to and fro transport for us from Chiayi Bus Station. The room was fine except for the toilet bowl which was not cleaned properly when we checked in…quite heavy urine smell. Overall experience was good.

Great place to stay to visit Alishan park! The staff are super helpful! Even with language barrier they go out of their way to accomodate you and inform you of services/tours within the park! The shuttle service from hotel to Alishan bus station was super helpful and saved us pushing our luggage around elevated roads! Room was clean and comfortable! Recommend this hotel if you’re looking for cleanliness and new vibe! View from 3rd floor room was gorgeous!

Big room and big beds. Limited space for movement due to bulky furniture. Only basic amenities are provided.

Great hotel located a minute away from the main nature reserve. Friendly and helpful reception. Clean rooms. Would recommend.

The hotel has been recently renovated so it’s pretty modern. But I don’t think it has AC only has heater for winter time. But the window can be open to get some fresh air into the room, so it’s acceptable. The staff is friendly but we don’t need much service from them anyway. And each floor also equipped with water dispenser to refill the cold or hot water which is very convenient. Overall it’s a nice hotel inside the national park. I would recommend to stay here for the convenience.

This is one of the few hotels located at the mountain area. 5 mins walking to the Alishan Train Station. Be sure to book the hotel after you confirm that you would like to stay at the mountain area, as they get sold out quickly. I booked 4 months in advance for a weekend night. It was really convenient for the next morning sunrise hike and to take the train to other sites within Alishan.

We booked a quadruple room as there was no more double room. The space is a little tight (we carried backpacks instead of luggages), but the room and sheets are clean. The concierge was very helpful and there was a free shuttle service after check out from the hotel to the bus station.
