Super cute cozy hotel - I loved the interior design - it feels like an old house. With vintage furniture and books in the rooms- they have very welcoming staff - nice lounge and a tiny but fun swimming pool - great location if you’re visiting UVA

My wife and I chose this very quaint inn primarily due location. Room was comfortable and very clean, but sparsely furnished in the bedroom. Nowhere to sit in that room other than on the bed or two stools in the corners. A lot of stairs to navigate throughout the property. Parking was very challenging and difficult to navigate. Absolutely loved the cafe. Best breakfast in C’ville! Staff was very helpful. Floors do creak a lot, but lends to the character.

Despite arriving at the Oakhurst inn super late and tired, Wendy made us feel incredibly welcome. She even opened up the bar to serve us a glass of wine before bed. Aside from the amazing staff, the room was cozy and the bed was very comfortable

The staff and the owner were extremely helpful. I rented an EV and they helped me since I had never owned or driven an EV before. When I checked out early in the morning Wendy was delightful. She insisted that I drink a cup of coffee and stay a few more minutes. She knew I needed that more than I did. I would definitely go back again.

It cozy and was great for the dogs. They provided a list of parks and breweries nearby. It was a beautiful area to stay in. Great location and we really enjoyed Oakhurst Cafe for morning coffee. They have jazz on Monday nights in the lobby too! 🎼

John Michael and Wendy were great when I checked in, very helpful and informative. They took care of my luggage and walked me over to find parking. There wasn't any so they essentially created a spot for me. Very kind folks felt like I was in good hands here.

Very cosy and nice, really enjoyed my time there, I would like to express my gratitude to Wendy for being so thoughtful and preparing me a coffee when I was leaving in the rainy and cold evening, really warmed me up and helped me continue with my travel

Sweet spot! Great value! Friendly service! Comfortable bed! Highly recommend Oakhurst Inn. Very convenient to UVA hospital. ……………,………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… why is there a 200 minimum character review required?

Had a great hospitality experience from check-in to pool service with a bar. Wendy was extremely welcoming at check-in and made us feel right at home with plenty of wonderful recommendations for Charlottesville. Strongly recommend a stay here.

When I come to Charlottesville for work at the University, the Oakhurst Inn is my number one choice. It's very convenient to Central Grounds and a less than 10 minute walk to the corner. But because it's situated in a residential area it is very quiet and private. Visitors should note that the facilities are in renovated homes and boarding houses built in the early 19th century. This adds to the charm, but also includes creaky stairs and less noise insulation. A bonus is the bookshelves in every building filled with new and old books to lend. Take a moment, or an hour, to find the oldest book on the shelf. So far the oldest I've found is from the early 1800s. Parking is either in a tight parking lot or garage around the corner. Valet is no longer offered. Please park with consideration to other guests. The bathrooms are completely renovated with modern amenities. The beds are very comfortable, with firm mattresses and pillowy toppers. My only complaint is that the pillows are too soft. I ended up stuffing a pillow case with the robe which made a much better pillow for me. Please note the bar is open limited hours but is worth a visit. Rooms in the main building (122) will be "treated" to jazz in the bar area on Monday nights. The Oakhurst Cafe does not offer room service, but the short walk is worth it for a great coffee and/or a hot breakfast. Temper your expectations, pack a sense of adventure, and you won't be disappointed.

This was a cute boutique hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. Our room was on the second floor. If you can not make it up stairs, I would let them know you need a bottom floor room. The Tuesday night bartender (sorry I can not recall his name) was very friendly. If you have a chance to chat with him, do so. We also had breakfast at the cafe which is a short walk from the hotel. It was very good.

Friendly staff, late night jazz by the pool, feel like a cowboy walking around on hardwood floors and carrying around a heavy metal key to open the door, and one of the best breakfast sandwiches you’ll ever have from the cafe in the morning…what’s not to love?

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by John Michael. Check in was quick and easy. He and the bartender made several suggestions of places we could grab a quick bite to eat. In the morning, Morgan was at the front desk and was also very kind and helpful, suggesting places to eat and visit during our stay in Charlottesville. The inn was clean and inviting. Very charming, reminiscent of a European inn. The pool area was a relaxing oasis after a long day in the heat. The bartender on our second day, was also very friendly and made many suggestions for dinner(she also shared it was her first official day working the bar, but you’d never have known). The only drawback was the parking. The lot was very small. We had to drive to a garage to park on our second night. All in all a very nice stay. We will be back!
