Chaozhou YEG hotel

I absolutely love this little hotel. Small and cozy, very functional place at a quiet alley in Chaozhou Ancient Town. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet day time and night time. Every corner is nicely decorated, a lot of thoughts have been put into furnishing the place. You can find items you need on the hole board shelf in the common area E.g. tripod, reading glasses, sanitary pads, insect repallent, plasters, cotton buds etc etc. I got my supply for latter 2 from the board as I got a bad blister from all the walking. I wish my house was beautiful/functional like this. Owner gave good recommendations for places to dine, helped to carry my luggages up/down the stairs. Highly recommend.

The pictures do no justice to this gem of a place, located at an intersection that offers both the convenience of the Old Town tourist attractions, and the authenticity of a truly local residential area. The room is generously sized, and the entire property tastefully designed and decorated to create a charmingly lush oasis in the heart of the action. The owner's quiet style of hospitality is genuine and heartfelt, and we as a family, from aged 9 to 80, truly felt at home in this wonderful place. We practically just left but already miss it.

We had a wonderful stay. Our host went above and beyond to help with so many things on our trip - my daughter was very sick with a cold, and the host came to help with our luggage, offered medicines and would ask how we were doing. Also the wheels of one of our luggages broke and he helped us figure out how to order a new suitcase delivered to the accomodation. He was very warm, open, and quick to respond to any of the many questions and requests we had. We are so grateful! The space itself is lovely and quiet, beautifully decorated and thoughtfully designed with an inviting shared entry space. Beds are comfortable, shower is strong, and the tatami sitting area with skylight, connected to our room, was a relaxing respite to enjoy some tea. Highly recommended!
