Lucia Hotel

Photos of the room/hotel where a little bit misleading. The bed was great, had a nice small balcony where you could see the lighthouse. The hotel was right in the middle of everything with a seaview. Great place for a few days, easy to go to other areas by bus.

Really disappointed on lack of information available for parking a car. The Old Chania town is pedestrian only. After 30 minutes of following on line driving instructions which did not identify streets that were closed we dumped the car at first available street parking which was about a 350 meters from hotel. There is a lot down by water which we found out about after the fact but it’s no closer. Saw numerous others dragging luggage through the streets. Hotel is internally noisy. One can hear many of the WC activities from neighbouring rooms through the walls. Location is good.

Arrived at Chania airport half past midnight. Lucia hotel is one of the elder hotels in Chania, right on the harbour front vehicle access is about a hundred metres from the entrance. Although it was nearly 1 am Chania harbour front and surrounding roads and lanes was packed with people in restaurants ,strolling about , all age groups chatting and generally having fun! It seemed like all the restaurants were full , the staff seemed to be ‘ taking five ‘ before a massive clear up. The atmosphere was fantastic there must have been a couple of thousand people wandering about totally chilled out. I staggered to my hotel feeling tired but at peace with the world.

Stayed there for a single night on our way to another destination. Beautiful location right in the old venetian harbor, rooms are old but impressively well kept, better than many modern hotels. Friendly service, fair pricing, beautiful view. Would visit again.

The hotel is in a great location, you are in the center of port. The pictures from the room are great. The doors are a little hard to maneuver if you are not use to turning key until you hear a click. The beds are basic. The bathroom did not have shower curtain. But the water was really hot each day. The room stayed cool. The lady at the front desk was not extremely friendly. She answered questions, but did not offer any more information than asked. I say this because at all hotels we have stayed in Greece, the front desk person has provide the best information on dinning around the area, excursions, shopping in the area, etc. The breakfast is good and you get a good view. There is the best restaurant located behind the hotel called Tamam. There are great shops in front and behind the hotel. The hotel is basic, but it has everything you need, an iron, desk, refrigerator, etc. You can hear through the walls, but we are heavy sleepers.

Wonderful location. Our room had a bay view. We spent time with a bottle of wine just enjoying the view.

It was a nice experience. The rooms were clean and nice . The hotel itself felt more local and helped the overall experience of being in Greece. The hotel location was excellent because it was right on the waterfront with excellent views as well as being very close to many restaurants and bars . The price was one of the best in all of Crete compared to other establishments. The only downside to the place was the Wi-Fi . The signal was great but the bandwidth was not. It’s bad for me because I’m kind of a tech junkie and I do like internet for updates and streaming movies. That however should not deter you from enjoying a great hotel, in a great location for a great price

Dreadful place. Please believe the bad reviews. My room was directly above restaurant Tamam. I was not able to sleep till about 1:30 as after the diners had gone had to endure them cleaning up. Hotel itself echos. Had to call security as a girl was in the lobby crying on the phone and echoed all over. Shower is too small to get into . Bed itself was ok but of no use with the noise level. Location is good but just not worth it. Could not wait to leave the hell hole
