Baymont by Wyndham Champaign ★★

📍 302 Anthony Dr, Champaign

"The room on the first floor is a bit damp and smells of mold. The room is old and not very hygienic. The front desk clerk keeps changing, alternating between Indians and white people. There is an Indian boy who discriminates against Chinese people and is very unfriendly. Regular coffee is not bad, and the other breakfasts are cakes every day, which are basically negligible. There are fewer choices during the school season, and I probably won't come next time."

I Hotel and Illinois Conference Center - Champaign ★★★★

📍 1900 S 1st St, Champaign

"El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, porque llegó a la tarde, por lo general organizaron su alojamiento a las cuatro de la tarde, pero también me ayudó a limpiar la habitación rápidamente y me ayudó a hacer mi estadía. El entorno también es tranquilo, cerca de la universidad, conveniente para comprar. Felizmente también conocí a la hermana de la recepción que hablaría chino, y es una sorpresa. La próxima vez que vayas, escogeremos el hotel."

Hotel Royer Urbana Champaign, Tapestry Collection by Hilton ★★★★
"Very clean hotel and nice staff. The room was rather small (but good enough for two people) We stayed for four days in total, the nights were very quiet except for one night where we heard bar music playing from several blocks away. The hotel is close to the HMart. The lack of a kettle (in the common area or in the room) is not a deal breaker as you can use the microwave (in the common area). I wished the combination safe was larger, as neither my laptop nor tablet could fit, so we travelled with our devices which made walking very tiring. The bathrooms are nice, well-lit and spacious."

"If I had to say this is the best value hotel in Champaign! Specifically, it's incredibly close to the Illinois Terminal train station, completely comfortable – a mere 5-minute walk that gave me plenty of time. The lobby staff were very friendly, and they even offered free candy, which was a welcome relief when I was tired."
