While enjoying the firepit one evening our oldest son exclaimed "There are so many lightning bugs, I can catch them with my eyes closed". Hence the name Lightning Bug Lodge. Unlike many other mountain homes, it is easily accessible for all vehicles. When you arrive, the inviting atmosphere makes this cabin the perfect place to rest and unwind. The cabin features a California king bed in one bedroom, a traditional king in the second bedroom, and a full sleeper sofa in the living room with a surprisingly comfortable memory foam mattress. The cabin offers wireless internet and 4 different smart tv's, including one on the screened porch. Take in the view from the porch as you relax in the 4 person hot tub! Another great feature of the cabin is the large outdoor firepit area where you can enjoy an evening of roasting marshmallows. The cabin also offers a conveniently located park style grill. Another unique feature is a large/level parking area with space for multiple vehicles. A wood burning fireplace for those cold winter nights contributes to the cozy charm of the cabin.
