"The room was above the garage, and carrying luggage up required climbing a long flight of stairs, which was a bit inconvenient. The room facilities were fairly complete; it had two bedrooms, a living room, and a spare cot, enough for five people. Service was practically nonexistent; after checking in and getting the key, I never saw the host again."

"NOT a good experience. Arrived for a 4pm check-in and was told room won't be ready until 5pm come back then. No offer for a coffee or water and place to sit and relax and wait. Unhelpful staff. Strange room setup with shower down the stairs. The ceilings are low, I'm only 5' 10" and kept baging my head on the ceiling. Bed was lumpy!"

"Just two words for this place . . . DO IT! It was far more magical than we could even imagine and all of our expectations were absolutely blown out of the water. Location is PERFECT. Straight shot to the ocean/beach (although it is just under a mile to get there, it was one of the closes hotels to get there by foot) It is located just one block away from the downtown area. So close and easily accessible to everything in town! Room #3 was perfect for 3 friends on a cousin's girls trip, it had a king bed and a twin bed in the window seat area. Every room has a gas fireplace that we enjoyed each night. The inner courtyard is beautiful and blooming with flowers, the fire pit would have been great to sit around had the weather been slightly warmer in the evenings. The Inn offers daily wine and snacks from 4-6pm and breakfast service to your room each morning! This was unexpected and so delightful. Room was large enough to accommodate 3 people. Bathroom was huge with two sinks/mirrors and heated floor that we loved! Randall was an excellent host and gave us great feedback on where to dine, etc. Parking can be difficult during the days (the have a small parking lot were 6-7 cars can park) otherwise you have to find on-street parking which gets a lot easier in the evenings and at night. Highly, HIGHLY recommend!!!"

"After leaving 17 Mile Drive, we originally just planned this as a rest stop along Highway 1, so we chose a ground-floor room. It was very clean, came with toothbrushes, Marvis toothpaste, and a Dyson hairdryer – really thoughtful touches that surpassed many 5-star hotels in the US. Breakfast was good, and the baked goods were delicious. It's close to Carmel Beach, and we happened to catch the sunset, which was absolutely beautiful."

"Llegamos al hotel después de las 21:00 h y el personal fue muy amable y nos ayudó con el check-in. El aparcamiento estaba justo enfrente de la habitación, lo cual fue muy práctico. La habitación estaba limpia en general y las zonas funcionales estaban bien separadas. La sala de estar estaba justo en la entrada, el baño era un poco pequeño, las dos habitaciones eran cómodas y la cocina tenía todo tipo de comodidades."

"A very nice little hotel or inn, located in the heart of Carmel, within walking distance of the town and the beach. The hotel facilities are relatively old, especially the restrooms, but it does not affect your holiday experience. There are parking spaces in the courtyard, and the front desk will issue you a parking permit for each room, but there is no guarantee that there will be a parking space, and you should be able to park on the street. There are many restaurants nearby, and one of them is a great breakfast restaurant with a comfortable taste and atmosphere. An American breakfast and a cup of coffee are second to none."
