I had stayed here for three nights last weekend and it wasn't enjoyable this has a bar downstairs where you can really hear upstairs when I came to the room no towels and the guy at the reception asked me if I had checked in the bathroom!?? I was like ‘hey do u think I will ask you if I found one!!’ It's just a single room but I can smell the smoke (cigarettes) from outside and kids are running and shouting like ***!! It's cheap deserved what you paid but it's not clean even the bed sheet is brownish already. I'm just being honest 🙄

It was so noisy, was kept up most of the night due to other customers being loud and rude

Very loud, police was there a lot, rowdy, stained bedding and earrings etc on floor showing it hadn’t been cleaned. Pub attached so very loud and lots of trouble.

A single room needed for break in drive up and back from Scotland Good location. Sadly another hotel they seen better days and basic but clean! Mould evident in showers never good, even small amount. Gaps around room door allow light in. No bedside light - ridiculous! Upside, parking at rear

The staff were very friendly, room & beds were clean but a little sparse & needing some renovation. The breakfast was lovely, plentiful & made to order, choice of cereal, toast, cooked breakfast, tea & coffee. The only downside was the boom booming of the music from the bar going on to the early hours.

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STAR I WOULD We booked the roadhouse in carlisle cumbria and it was disgusting. No signs of cleaning done, mouldy shower, blood urine and excrement stains on the bedding and mattress, cigarette ends and previous guests belongings under the bed with a lot of rubbish, grease stained curtains, I could go on and have plenty of pictures to prove it. My wife and I slept in our car it was that bad and when we asked for a full refund for our room and partial for the other 2 rooms we had booked, we received a minimal refund DO NOT STAY HERE

It was a place to crash and that was it. The staff were nice and friendly enough, and we had good laugh on the karaoke but the rooms.....wowsers.....the carpets an beds are about 30 years old. Awful smells, no amount of sauvage could hide it. seen more mould in the shower tray than on rotten cheese. stained sheets. Couldnt bring myself to sleep under the covers, can understand why price of room was so cheap. Lack of maintenance but like i said it was a place to crash after a full day of drinking.

Don't do it. The cheek of these people to charge someone 50 quid a night and sit there and collect this time and time again for this when it clearly hasn't been cleaned EVER. No way after the smell in the bathroom and mould was I lying on that bed. I was out of there sharpish and paying for a decent hotel. Dirty carpet. Unlockable door from inside. Why has the chain been taken off the door?

Avoid at all costs, pay the difference for a good night sleep, noise from the bar down stairs untill 2.am an absolute sh...e hole

Travelled down for the races (4 of us) and looked to get somewhere cheap and cheerful. It was certainly cheap but not cheerful. Place didn’t smell good at all and rooms were dirty and dated. Holes in the ceiling soor on the blinds it was horrible. All in all not a good experience and none of us would go back.

Parking was in a permit holders car park,assured that it was ok . We were put into the house next door but one ,for peace and quiet as there was karaoke on that night. There was a family living on the ground floor. Stairs were very poorly lit and the hand rail loose. Stairs were steep and our room was at the top of the staircase . The carpet was filthy, there were hairs in the bed . Tea bags were stuck together as they had been wet at one stage. Bathroom not clean. We did not stay, booked into travel lodge instead. Would not recommend at all .
