The Aldea 2 is a lovely place to stay, gorgeous Spanish tiles everywhere and traditional style architecture, a bit more interesting than the white boxes that most hotels appear to be. The gardens are beautifully landscaped and well cared for and the apartments have everything you could need along with amazing views! Miguel in the office was very helpful and everything is in good shape. The pool and terrace are lovely with panoramic views, and the restaurant and bar share the same fabulous location. There are no negatives to the Aldea 2, just a couple of notes for those planning to book, it is up a hill and there are lots of steps to certain apartments so inform the office before you book so that you can be placed at ground floor if mobility is a problem. The pool goes from 0.85 to 3m deep, so may be an issue for some with small children. My only gripe would be the number of people who ‘reserve’ their sun loungers before sunrise by throwing a towel on them and then not returning until after lunch meaning that the sun lounger cannot be used all morning, I find this behaviour thoughtless and selfish. Maybe a notice to say that towels will be removed when residents are not present would help in future. A great hotel with lovely views and quick access to the beaches below. The resort is very family friendly with lots of eating out options to suit all, and nice coastal walks to other bays. The bus 103 takes you to Palma, which is beautiful, and if you are planing a day trip to the caves I would suggest taking the bus into Palma and then picking up a trip from there to save time.
