Hotel Ristorante La Conchiglia

I cannot understand the bad reviews on here… we loved everything about this hotel! Beautiful location and we loved Cala Ganone and walking around during day and night. The staff were welcoming and very friendly. The breakfast buffet was so perfectly thought out. More than enough choice and I was so well looked after being gluten free. In fact thanks to the member of staff (lady) who looked after me everyday! We ate in the restaurant most evenings and the food and service was great. The room was so clean and nice balcony. The bed was so comfortable that I slept better than I do usually. We look forward to staying here again next year!

I would say this hotel is a budget hotel, it’s definitely not 4* Photos don’t look like the hotel Location is good, however apart from that the beds were very uncomfortable, as the pillows were so thin. The breakfast was really poor

To be honest: More than a 4 stars is a 3+ stars Hotel. Positive aspects: location and the possibility to use the private parking but at a very reasonable additional charge. We also appreciated the laundry service at a very reasonable price as well. On the other hand, we had aunts in the room and when we arrived the patio furniture had not been cleaned. In addition, we found "tacky" for a 4 stars hotel, to post, in the breakfast room, a sign saying "Do not take out food otherwise you will be charged". In fact he staff at the breakfast, more than being useful, seemed to be there only to monitor you. In fact we were never asked if we wanted something from the bar (like fresh made cappuccino or coffee) or if they could help with anything, no one word, they were just standing and looking at us. Conclusion: Great location, average hotel, just do not expect a 4 stars level hotel or a white gloves treatment.

Lovely family run hotel. Stayed for a week May 2023 on half board. Had a side Seaview room with Balcony. Large room and large new shower. Modern and clean. Comfortable mattress and pillows. (most important for us) Breakfast- cereals, croissants toast fresh honeycomb, jams. Homemade cakes. Cold meats, fruit, juice and coffee. Not as good as Evening meal. Evening meal - large 3 courses with a choice Amazing Risotto for starter. I did try to have as a main but Waiter was so polite he waited for me to finish. Half Board just pay for drinks. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Lovely seafront location. Beaches around all seem to be fine shingle not sand. Cala Gonone is at the bottom of a 5km zigzag road fairly recent. Don't use Google maps to go a different way out as this was a narrow scary road. You need a car to stay here. Parking on streets was sometimes available but there is a car park which is €5 a night. Lots of boat trips from the harbour. Very pretty but was 1 or 2 too many beach stops for us over 60. We didn't pay extra to do walk in the large cave. Happy we stayed here doesn't deserve negative reviews.

If you go to Sardinia, and want to have a good time, AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!! What was supposed to be a romantic honeymoon experience, came out to be a disaster! There is a waiter at the hotel restaurant who is extremely arrogant and rude to customers. A person who makes faces, mocks and makes jokes of the customers, behind their back! He is a bald one, middle aged, not very tall and wears glasses. He yelled at me when I asked for an explanation about the many and left making fun of me.

Family Run Gem Maria Antoinette and her mother Margarita, were so accommodating. We really enjoyed the ambience and how they made us feel at home. The decor is modern and tasteful and clean. The included morning buffet was good as well as the coffee :) We will definitely recommend our families and friends to stay at La Conchiglia. It’s location is 10/10.
