The accommodation is quite old, the room is poorly lit, and the design is a bit unusual. The location is good and close to the Esplanade, although the view isn’t that great. The staff also got our room type wrong, so we had to spend extra time sorting out a new room.

The perfect location, close to marina, casino And most of the city amenities.restaurant available on site for breakfast which is a good buffet style. I booked the balcony king suite . And although it was nice , it was dated , the shower over the bath was a pain ! The mixer shower/bath was not working so both were working at once ! Room was serviced everyday and was beautifully done. Pool was nice

Everything was old. Even when it is mentioned that it is renovated, it is poorly renovated. You can hear a lot from the neighbors and from the outside. We received super dirty towels which is a no go.

The perfect location and beautiful views at a reasonable price and with a quiet pool area and excellent restaurant. I noticed a few things around the room that could do with repairs but generally everything was still in working order. Perfect for anyone wanting to stay right in the city and explore.

Location is perfect! Major attractions are within walking distance. Staff is generally friendly and it didn’t happen to us but there was a hotel guest who reached out to us in distress when we came back because her hotel card was faulty but nobody was at the concierge. We tried to help her call but to no avail as well. View from the hotel is amazing too.

serivice was good. Just hotel is old, room is quite big. Bathroom need improve bath tube and bath sink need replace . Sink is cracked

The location is excellent — just a 5-minute walk from the terminal where all the trips leave and only 5 minutes from the night market. I did have an issue with my first room: it was right next to the A/C compressor and the noise made it impossible to sleep. After I complained, the staff helped me move to another room, but I was disappointed that they seemed aware of the problem and only acted once someone complained.

Our room was clean, spacious, and brightly lit, with a comfortable layout and a balcony that opened to lovely views. The location couldn’t be better: easy walking distance to major tour departure points, the Esplanade, and many great restaurants. The convenience of a self‑service laundry room was another big plus during our travels. Overall, this hotel delivered comfort, convenience, and exceptional service. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cairns.

Had a wonderful stay at Pacific Hotel Cairns. The location is absolutely perfect—right in the heart of the city with easy access to the Esplanade, night markets, and fun attractions like the Ferris wheel. Everything is within walking distance, which made exploring Cairns so easy and enjoyable. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. Evenings around the area are lively, with great food options nearby street food vibes, and a beautiful atmosphere. Overall, a great place to stay if you want comfort, convenience, and to truly enjoy the Cairns experience. Would definitely stay here again!

Location of the hotel is great and very convenient. The staff are friendly, towels were changed daily, and the pool was really nice. Overall, it was an excellent stay. The only small issue was that when we asked housekeeping to change our bedsheets on day 4 of our stay, it wasn’t done and the bed was left as it was. Other than that, everything was very good and we enjoyed our stay.

Location is good to many restaurants. Pool open 6am to 7pm. Great view from room and housekeeping lady did a great job. Stayed from 3 to 7 June.

The hotel is in a very good location for exploring Cairns, a short walk to the harbour and even shorter walk for all kinds of restaurants, the hotel has its own restaurant where they serve a BBQ type meal with the meats being carved at your table. The receptionists are very friendly and helpful, Francesca was really lovely, there’s three lifts to all floors, our room 718, was very clean and tidy, lovely cool cotton sheets on a massive bed, a large TV and coffee and tea making facilities, the shower and toilet was ok maybe a bit dated but it served a purpose, the room was cleaned with fresh towels every day, we had breakfast in the hotel which was $25 each, its buffet style so have as much as you need, the restaurants around the hotel are very eclectic, but YaYas’ Greek restaurant is fantastic, the food the staff the atmosphere are all great, highly recommend you try it. All in all the hotel is at the heart of Cairns and all it has to offer.

Hotel will request for a confirmation via email before arrival, at first I thought it’s a scam but upon calling the property, it is part of their process of checking in Location is very central, 15 min from airport, near to all places in Cairns city, everywhere is walkable The best part is that it’s near reef terminal and esplanade where there are many food places, a good choice to stay in Cairns

I am very disappointed with the hygiene in the hotel. Towels and pillow are so dirty. I have complained three times about it. Choose another hotel please.
