I stayed here twice - the first time, an ordinary room, the 2nd time, I thought maybe the Horizon Club might be a higher level. Before I say anything, I may choose to stay again for the location! This property is not 'Shangri-LA' as you would expect - the windows are all dirty which is disappointing for 'Marina View' rooms... The Horizon lounge furniture is closer to school lunch hall style, and the dinner - well, I don't eat in food halls with sausage rolls and spring rolls. We ate in the main street which was AWESOME!. The ping pong table is bent, bats are without surface, and the air hockey machine without pucks.. Basically a 'cashing in on the brand' experience...

La habitación estaba limpia y tranquila. El hotel tiene una buena vista donde puede ver el mar y la selva tropical.El servicio era bueno, y era fácil llamar un taxi, sólo tienes que presionar un taxi en el fondo del lobby y el taxi llegaría al hotel en 5 a 15 minutos .Esto era muy cool!

Cuando pedí que hiciera las formalidades de ingreso, pensé que sólo tenía una maleta de alrededor de las nueve, así que me permití entrar en mi habitación. Eso es muy útil. Pero la ventana no se abrió, pero la habitación era muy elegante, muy nueva y muy bonita. Pero la habitación era fría, incluso si me cambiaba de calor, era fría, así que me puse un vestido en la habitación.
Pero sólo una cuchilla.

攜程上訂房的時候標明前台有中文服務，而且再三確認過！結果到店後失望沒有華人禮遇。
雖然語言不通但是前台服務還是熱情周到的。酒店設施還可以的，環境和衞生都很好。就是早餐上的太慢啦😌😌😉

Great staff! We dropped our passport on the Uber and the Uber driver asked for $100 to return it to us. When the concierge saw that, she rushed towards us and reprimanded the driver and insisted that he return us the money. The receptionist almost got into a fight with the driver for us and managed to force the driver to return us our passport and the money and we were so grateful for that! It was our first day in Cairns and she helped turn our day around. Kudos to Pilar and Charlotte for helping us that day! Very convenient location with short walk to the reef terminal and lots of bars and restaurants nearby with a great night life right here at the hotel. Good view of the sea from the hotel too.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Although the room design is old style(not renovated one), the room is clean and the sea view is amazing. Great location especially to the meet up point of skydive and diving. Just 5 mins walk. Casino is just nearby so you don’t need to worry the night activities. Staff are friendly and helpful. I enjoy the stay a lot.

The apartment is rather new. Location is the biggest its advantage. Vert close to bus station and restaurants. The whole block of 1/2 bedroom apartments are next to the “hotel”. The check in and out processes were fast without hassle.
During my stay, I found some daily problems that I had to sort out. As the staff at the reception said the apartment is managed by the hotel, however, it is not serviced exactly as the hotel rooms. I prefer to have some information sheet telling some basics solutions.
It was not cleaned up every day. We had the cleaning services for the 4th, 8th morning. I have to ask for refilling such as clean towels, toilet papers, rubbish bin bags, dishwashing tabs, I also need to empty the rubbish or food garbage.
Most disappointing, someone having their food in room and drop them nearby my door daily. As the temperature is hot there and stinky smell was suck.

We stayed for 5 nights and we were overall happy with our stay. The great thing about this resort is you have everything you need including gym, pool, dine in, room service etc. The resort pool is wonderful to relax and unwind with a pool bar access.

酒店環境很好，設施齊全，除了泳池還有spa館和好幾間餐廳和bar。位置也不錯，就在海邊，去碼頭稍微有點距離，但去夜市還有市中心都很近。訂的池景房，酒店在得知我們是蜜月旅行後，專門給了我們在頂層可以同時看到池景和海景的房間，額外還送了蜜月禮物，服務態度真的不錯。早餐雖然每天類型都差不多，但是是好吃的，算物有所值。

No obstante, tengo que decir que el apartamento es un poco decepcionante. Entiendo que el tiempo es húmedo y húmedo debido a la lluvia. Pero hay cocodrilos en el dormitorio y ángeles en la cama. ¿Por qué no necesitas hacer algún control de plagas antes de abrir al huésped? También la habitación no es brillante y es un poco oscuro todo el tiempo. El baño es limpio, que no es un problema, pero es un poco viejo y el guardarropa es viejo ya que algunos lugares se rompen necesitan actualizar o corregir. Normalmente porque tenemos niños, ni siquiera es un hotel de 5 estrellas o algo, pero al menos creo que limpio y a tiempo es lo muy importante para el alojamiento.
También es un poco engañoso en la publicidad porque en general no creo que debería contar como 4 estrellas apartamento O tiene que poner las fotos correctas para las que está relacionado.
Además, no es la distancia de caminar al centro de la ciudad y necesitas un coche para más comodidad, de lo contrario necesitas tomar un taxi o otro transporte; por lo tanto, por favor tengas en cuenta.

La mejor manera de describirlo es imaginar si un hombre de 60 años de edad problemático abrió un albergue con un club nocturno abajo, y todas las actividades sociales fueron diseñadas con otros hombres de 60 años de edad problemáticos en mente. No parecen hacer ningún tipo de equilibrio de género en la cama mixta, una chica que se inspeccionó en mi habitación en medio de la noche, porque se puso en una cama mixta con sólo hombres de más de 50 años. Las actividades sociales son viejas, pero no de buena manera, estoy hablando de concursos de camiseta húmeda, concursos de baile de polacos, peleas de gelatina. Pero honestamente este albergue dio a la mayoría de las chicas que se quedaron aquí el ic, así que terminamos teniendo noches de cine en el piso de las chicas, ir al mercado y Esplanade juntos y al gimnasio gratuito. Las instalaciones de este albergue son muy buenas para ser justas, las habitaciones estaban limpias, todas tenían aire acondicionado y balcón (por desgracia no puede controlar la temperatura del aire acondicionado o desactivarlo cuando está frío fuera), El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentran los niños y los niños. Si se van a ser un lugar elegante, al menos podrían contratar bailarines Magic Mike. Pero honestamente, sólo necesitan un nuevo manager de entretenimiento y este lugar sería bueno. La ubicación está bien, a unos 20 minutos a pie de la Esplanada.

UUsuario invitadoWe chose this hotel because it was one of the most inexpensive hotels near the reef terminal and close to other attractions in Cairns. It was a 30 minute walk to the Reef Terminal and 40 minutes to the Botanical Garden. It also has a good selection of restaurants nearby and is a short walk to Rusty's Market and quite a few shops.
The area is very quiet and the bed was comfy enough. The room has a good wall unit which we stored all of our bags in and kept our stuff accessible with some shelves. There is a limited number of plug-ins in the room with two on the desk under the TV and a power bar was underneath the bed. A travel power adapter was used to keep our devices charged. The wifi was weak when we stayed and we felt the shower curtain and lip didn't do a great job keeping the water contained because the floor and bath mat got soaked each time we showered - you could aim the shower head at the wall and angle your body just so but it was tricky to have a good shower here. We did appreciate all the toiletries available in the wall mounted units including hand wash, shaving cream, body lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The towels were also very soft but never dried out so we had to ask to have them changed on our second day here because the bathroom smelled very damp due to the wetness.
The front desk staff were very kind but they did not have it manned after hours so there are late night check in instructions provided. They also can help arrange and book tours while you are in Cairns. The hotel offered a complimentary breakfast which included bread, a toaster, a pancake machine, cereals, juices, coffee, milk and water. The highlight of the breakfast was the pancake machine and the giant jar of Nutella with a pump attached. You could order a hot breakfast for a little bit more and it was fairly priced for things like sausage, bacon and eggs.
The hotel also has a bar area (open 3-7), heat and eat meals, a vending machine, pool and laundry facilities. There is a microwave available in the bar area and kettles are available in the rooms for hot water. The laundry machines are commercial and quick - it cost 4 AUD to wash and the same price to dry and our laundry was done within 1 hour and 10 minutes. The laundry room also has an iron and ironing board.
The hotel had a good amount of parking and it is about a 10 minute drive from the airport. We felt everything was very convenient during our stay and would recommend it if you are planning to save on a hotel and spend on excursions!

UUsuario invitadoThis was my second time staying at this hotel. The first was a much better experience. It seems it all depends on the room. This time we got room 101, on the corner of the building and next to the entrance gate and more importantly, next to a street intersection. It was quite noisy all night as trucks and busses accelerate from the intersection. I asked the desk clerk when we checked in if we could have a different room and he refused, even though other rooms were available. I couldn't quite figure out his reasoning. Anyway, this room also sufferers from a very weak air conditioner and is a little smaller than the last room we got (room 119). Basically, the hotel is fine, but your experience may differ based on the specific room.

BBowaterI stayed at Hotel Tropiq in mid-October 2023 and had a good stay. Positives - great location with nearby cafe, Indian restaurant, and British restaurant. Only a $20 taxi to the Pier/Marina or 20 minute walk into the city. The reception staff were super friendly/helpful. Pleasingly, the room perfectly suited my solo fishing trip too. Negatives - Hotel Tropiq was very basic/ghetto with a peculiar room layout. The beds were on rollers and hard to sleep on. Windows and sliding door were very dodgy. No insect screens on one window! It was certainly a budget style of accommodation. In future, I will stay somewhere nicer if my girlfriend joins me
