Masindi Hotel ★★★

"Recently stayed here for 2 nights, and to be honest 1 was enough as there wasnt much to do and the grounds weren't as big as we hoped for wandering around for some casual birding late afternoons after our trips out. We stayed in room 3 which apparently is where Katharine Hepburn stayed when filming The African Queen and one of their top rooms. In all honesty, it was really tired and dated, the furniture had seen better days and the bathroom was in dire need of a refurb with cracked and chipped tiles and tarnished mirror and fittings. A hook or rail for the towels would have been useful to hang them up to dry better too. The bed was comfortable though and we got some good nights sleep. Whilst the room wasnt as we had hoped for this place, the food was really tasty, delicious crepes and french toast for breakfast, really great packed lunches for our days out and the stew and chapati were spot on. Well done to the chef and serving staff for giving us some on the best food we experienced during our trip in Uganda. Hence, rated 4 stars despite our thoughts on the room."

"Good location in Masindi although some rooms were noisy. A number of people in our party had water issues and inadequate mosquito nets. We had a triple room with excellent hot water and perfect nets - these rooms also have a small terrace with a table. Worth paying a few $ more for the space and facilities. Food service was slow and food generally disappointing. All the staff were lovely."

De hecho, desde la larga noche de conducción aprecié el agua caliente y me disfruté de ella, pero el sentimiento sucio de la pijama y la plancha de cama tintada me dio tiempo duro para dormir, pero luego me aceptaron y me cansaron de dormir. La habitación es muy agradable, pero no es muy fácil. Me encantaba el Country Inn por primera vez que me quedé allí por un evento, pero creo que la dirección necesita encontrar una mejor manera de ayudar a los empleados a entender la industria de la hospitalidad."
