I was supposed to stay for three nights at the MP Hostel in Budapest; but left a couple of hours after I checked in. I arrived in the hostel before the check-in time; thus requested to leave my suitcase while awaiting check-in. Receptionist David just told me, ”You can put it in the storage room.” He did not even show me where the storage room is. I had to find the room myself. Mind you, David was not busy at that time. He was just chatting with a friend in the reception area. When I finally checked in the hostel late afternoon and went to my room, I noticed that the room was very cold. I opened the heater knob; and waited for more than an hour. No changes; it was still very cold. I then went to the reception; and informed receptionist David about this. He was in the reception, indeed, just talking to another hostel staff Daniel who is apparently the hostel F&B manager. He casually told me, ”Open the heater valve.” To which I replied, ”I did that more than an hour ago; but it's still very cold. Perhaps you can accompany me to the room; and we can both check the heater.” David answered, ”It's not my job. I'm the receptionist; not the technician... and the technician is not here. Wait for your room to get warm.” I said, ”It's been more than an hour since I opened the heater; but the room never got warm at all. If it's not your job to address the heater problem, then who can help me fix this? Can you at least transfer me to another room with a working heating system?” After David called up someone and checked the available rooms, he finally agreed to move me to another room. While I was at the reception waiting for my new room to be ready, I was talking to a friend on the phone to express my disappointment. When David said that my room was ready, I hung my phone up right away; and was surprised when he said, ”I”M A F*CKING RECEPTIONIST. THE HOSTEL MANAGEMENT PLACED ME HERE BECAUSE I SPEAK ENGLISH. CHECKING THE ROOM OR THE HEATER IS NOT MY JOB.” I replied, ” Where did the 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST' words come from? To be clear, I never addressed you a 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST.' ” I said these sentences at least twice, to reiterate my point. Without knowing the context of the conversation because he (Daniel) was playing a video game on his phone, F&B manager Daniel suddenly charged at me, kept on pointing his right index finger at me, and raised his voice, ”Don't you dare disrespect my friend and call him 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST' OR ELSE...” I then said, ”I didn't even call David a 'F*CKING RECEPTIONIST.' Go ask him.” When David agreed that I did not call him that, I then went inside my new room which was still very cold. Heater in the new room was not working. Again. After all the negative experience at MP Hostel Budapest, I decided to leave right away; and found another private room in a hostel nearby. Zero customer service. Aggressive. Threatening. I hope the hostel will improve on its customer service, and value its guests.

Nos encantaba que nos quedaran 5 noches aquí, optamos por un apartamento de 1 dormitorio. Stayed here for 2 nights, the building is located in quite a convenient area with choices of public transport. It appears to be quite a newly renovated building, it stands out to be the most well-kept building in the whole street. I booked the Classic Double Room, Balcony with breakfast. I wouldn’t say the balcony is in many ways functional, it is very narrow and it is mainly used for people who want to smoke as there is an outdoor ashtray there. The room itself is modern, well kept, and didn’t show any particular wear so far. There are several issues I found with the room, the air conditioning works quite well but it is manually operated, when I left it in ‘auto’ mode it was quite loud. In the evening I set it to low fan speed but it just created a constant quite irritating fan noise which went away when I set the fan speed to medium. I also dislike the curtains, the blackout material doesn’t reach all the way up it leaves around a 2cm gap so the room is quite light in the morning. I tend not to sleep well when the room isn’t dark. I used the coffee machine in the room, but the coffee machine doesn’t work properly, despite I pressed the “full cup” function the machine only made around 10ml of coffee despite I keep pressing the button it would not make enough coffee to drink. When I returned to the room the next day the used coffee pod is still very much in the machine when I wanted to try the machine again which isn’t ideal when the housekeeper hasn’t checked the machine. The dirty cup was changed. Breakfast is at the basement restaurant, the selection of food is quite good and it was kept refreshed during breakfast. The reception staff were polite and spoke good English. Overall, I felt the room is modern, location is not bad but I felt the overall attention to detail is somewhat lacking such as the curtains doesn’t block out the light, noisy air conditioning, and the cleaning routine not involving checking the coffee machine. I don’t necessarily not recommend it but there are a few problems.

Otras personas incluyen una serie de personas con el título ”Dr”, por lo que no son refresco, si sabes lo que quiero decir. Nuestro estancia hasta ahora ha sido muy tranquila. Apenas ningún ruido desde dentro del bloque. Es el centro de una ciudad, por lo que hay ruido de carretera, etc., pero las ventanas están triplicadas, así que mantengan el ruido muy bien. El ascensor y los corredores son todos v brillantes y bien limpios. La zona es turística en cierta medida con cargas de lugares de comida de buena valor incluyendo un muy popular húngaro El hotel de la ciudad de Géto Gulyas, donde se necesita reservar, es un restaurante llamado Géto Gulyas. El apartamento está muy bien equipado con lavavajillas y lavavajillas. Todo lo que necesita para cocinar en vacaciones. Muebles exclusivamente de Ikea por sus apariencias pero se sentía nuevo y no se desnudo. La cama es cómoda y en el lado firme. One of the most budget friendly accommodation in the city! It is in a very strategic location where it is just few meters away from bus stop and metro train station. It is also just few bus stops away from famous tourist destinations. It is near grocery store and vodafone where you can buy a sim card (tip for tourists). Rooms are clean and well maintained. They have self service washing and drying machines, common kitchen and bathrooms, common lounge area, vending machines and many more. This place is wheelchair friendly as well for those who need them. Service wise was great as well. I would commend Thomas from reception for being helpful especially when we arrived from airport at 2AM. Overall, we enjoyed staying here. It is truly a great value for money.

STAY HERE! Made a mistake on my booking by getting the mixed dorm however I wanted a female room, they changed it at reception without hassle and no extra charge (€27 for 3 nights) the room is very clean, the beds are comfy and you get a privacy curtain, light, plug and hangers in your little pod. There’s a few showers, hairdryer and toilets next to the room and a place to get ready in the morning (very clean) there is a bar downstairs with tvs and also serving good food, there’s chill places to sit outside the room and a rooftop. - 1 min walk to a shop - In the centre, short walks to landmarks - A bus to the airport 10 minute walk away - Bolt, buses and trams to get everywhere Would definitely stay here again!

Vivimos juntos en la habitación 203 por 6 noches. La habitación super pequeña. La anchura de la habitación es una cama y dos cucharas. La entrada no tiene ganchos para ropa superior y bolsas, tienes que ir a zapatos al armario, que no es muy conveniente. En el primer momento no limpiamos, y cuando se lo preguntó el tercer día, comenzó a limpiar. El limpieza es que tuvieron que llenar la cama y tirar el basurero. Way-Fi es perfecto, es necesario tener en cuenta que en cada piso su red (luna completa, luna completa3) y la contraseña de ellos es la misma. Eso es, sólo tienes que conectar para conseguir la señal capturada bien. Baja el club para los jóvenes. Se oyó, pero fue incrítico para nosotros como si el fondo del coche de bass pasara. En general, el ruido no interfiere. Desde el asentamiento, los primeros dos días se pidió reparar, pero nadie hizo nada. La cama es un panel de ventiladores en el que la matriz es 5 cm de altura de la parte superior. El sueño es realmente incómodo. Las galletas son transparentes, malas. La cama de las normas. El desayuno se alimenta en un bar a la puerta. A la externa no es demasiado atractivo, pero en realidad muy delicioso. El hotel está situado en el centro de la ciudad, donde se encuentra el grasas más el hostal.

Actualmente aquí en este momento y la tost me decepciona! No como dicen las opiniones. Es un buen 45 minutos a pie al centro de Budapest. El desayuno es muy poco lustro! Luke bebidas calientes, sólo una parte de la tostadora y un buffet muy básico. Las habitaciones no tienen TV, ni secador de pelo! Las instalaciones que dice están aquí no son, el bar de techo cerrado, la tienda de pasta nunca abierto, el par de la puerta adyacente es muy limitada y el personal son rude. Si quieres quedarse en algún lugar con las cosas que te rodean, no te quedas aquí, se siente como si fueras en medio de ningún lugar. Complimento entender que está orientado hacia los estudiantes, pero incluso estos deben estar aburridos de lágrimas con la falta de instalaciones alrededor del hotel, ni siquiera dondequiera para agarrar una picadura para comer en un buen paseo de 10 minutos. ¿Me quedaría aquí otra vez? Absolutamente no En una nota más el personal de recepción son hermosos

Estuvimos 3 dias en Pascua. Hotel limpio, silencioso, con habitaciones amplias. Esta muy bien cuidado. El personal de Recepcion muy amables, al igual que el personal que atiende en los desayunos. Siempre atentos por si necesitas cualquier cosa. Desayuno abundante y variado. Cercano a parada de Bus y Tranvia. Tambien esta muy cerca la parada que te trae y te devuelve al aeropuerto. No mas de 5 minutos caminando. Un Hotel para volver. Por sacarle un pero....la iluminacion del baño para maquill**** las mujeres es bastante tenue. Recomendado 100%. Sin lugar a dudas acertaras al alojarte aqui.

Mi opinión general es positiva pero hubo alguna cosa que no me gustó y quiero indicarlas. Haciendo el checking había dos chicas que entre ellas hablaban húngaro y se dirigían a nosotros en inglés sin hacernos mucho caso estaban más a su conversación y no fueron nada simpáticas. Hay tres ascensores por lo que aunque es un hotel grande no hay problema para cogerlo, me llamó la atención que hay que posar la tarjeta de la habitación en el ascensor para que suba cosa que está muy bien para que no se meta gente de fuera. Nuestra habitación era estupenda con dos estancias con una cama grande en cada una, aire acondicionado independiente en cada una, baño con ducha grande, secador de pelo, kleenex, gorro de ducha, algodones...genial. Estábamos al final del pasillo por lo que no había ruidos y daba a un patio interior. Lo que no nos gustó fue el.plastico bajo la sábana que hacía que sudaramos y los edredones nórdicos es la primera vez que en lugar de haber uno en cada cama hay dos. Doblados y superpuestos encima de la cama, no llegaban para taparnos si te das la vuelta se quedaba el culo fuera y los pies también. La sala del desayuno era estupenda con sitio de sobra o bien en el patio al aire libre pero no era un desayuno europeo, los bollos eran raros, los zumos de polvos, si te gusta el batido y las salchichas bien pero yo prefiero un croissant o algo así y no había nada solo tostadas. Volvería a hospedarme aquí ya que fuimos caminando a todos lados aunque hay una parada de metro a 50 metros, lástima el puente de las cadenas que al estar cerrado obliga a dar un gran rodeo pero no es culpa de nadie.
