Bonobo Apartments

This is our plastic 5 nights in Bruges and the delightful Bonobo Apar**ents. Sad to leave both. The apar**ents are perfectly located, completely central but incredibly quiet. Modern but in an old building , spotlessly clean, great WiFi, wonderful host, nothing to fault. We are lucky enough to travel quite a bit and I can only wish that everywhere we stayed was as welcoming, inviting, easy, friendly and well located. Just book!

Booked this apar**ent for a short stay (4 days) mid Dec for two adults. It is perfectly situated about a 5 min walk from the main square, 15 minutes maximum from the train station. It has private (locked) car parking at an extra cost ( €10 day at the moment) which is excellent value. On arrival we were able to park early prior to getting our room, which was fantastic. The room itself was very clean, well appointed kitchen with all you could want. There is a TV ( not used much) with plenty of Uk channels and some with Flemish subtitles. We only really saw Hanns and Nick when we stopped, both were fantastic, friendly and full of great advice. Hanns told me that trains to Brussels are half price on the weekend, and we took advantage of that on the Saturday. Brussels is nice, but nothing like as pretty as Bruges. Trains run every 20 min or so, plenty of seats, pretty tidy and are reliable. A return ticket on Saturday at the moment costs just €17 an adult. Bruges is not a cheap city to eat out in so the apar**ent being so close to the centre allowed us to eat in for breakfast and some lunches. It really does have all you need and more ( including free coffee tea and hot chocolate- when staff are there which is most of the time in the day) There are good cheap supermarkets nearby ( great value for Belgium beers and beer gift packs ) A fantastic stay with wonderful people - we will return and stay here again. Situated in the center of historic Bruges and everything you would want to visit is within easy walking distance. The apar**ent itself is compact but comfortable with everything you would require for a short stay. Tea/coffee provided in the room and a lovely coffee maker free to use in reception (but not before 9am). Place itself is lovely and warm with thermostatic radiators that can be adjusted. We were there in December and the heating was so efficient we had to turn it down. The beds are clearly 2 singles joined together with 2 separate duvets. Not to everyone’s taste but very comfortable just the same. The owner, Hans, is a lovely guy. Nothing too much trouble. Maps and guides provided in the room. We used the apar**ents own car park for a small fee. It’s situated at the side of the property and has car charging facilities if anyone needs them. If you intend to drive within the historic part on Saturday or Sunday afternoon speak to Hans on your arrival as there is a form to fill in for tourists otherwise there may be a bit of a fine on route. Before we arrived Hans mailed us with directions. Take note of this or you may find yourself in another street nearby if you use the car satnav. Would thoroughly recommend this property.

Brilliant apar**ents in a fantastic location. Our first time in Bruges but definitely won’t be our last and we wouldn’t hesitate to return to Bonobo apar**ents. Appar**ent had everything we needed including a tour guide book. We flew in to Brussels Charleroi and caught the Flibco bus to Bruges. Walkable from the bus stop to the apar**ent but due to size of bag we got an Uber and it was only 12 euros.

Stayed for 4 nights. Apar**ent well appointed and the location perfect- right in the heart of the city. The host was extremely helpful and welcoming. Will definitely be going back and have recommended it to my family and friends. And that is after having travelled to Brugge for the last 23 years! Thank you Hans and Magda. Regards Maria

We stayed here for 3 days and had a great time, Hans is very helpful and nothing is too much trouble, he helped us in with bags and sorted out our city car tax, weekends need to be registered or face a 68 euro fine! You also do need to pay the tourist tax which Hans sorts out when you arrive. We were on the first floor but there is a lift. The accommodation is excellent and free coffee in a morning in the very nice patio area. The apar**ent is spacious very clean and has a kitchen should you choose to eat in. I didn't park in the car park but chose the free parking outside town, just a 15 min walk. Overall a great place to stay and such a good location, 5 mins walk into town. Next time we are in Brugge we will definitely stay here.

The Bonobo Apar**ents are ideally located within Bruges. It's a bit of a walk from the train station, however it is very conveniently located within a short walk of the centre of Bruges with its many restaurants and shops. It's on a less-busy street, so street noise was not an issue. Our apar**ent was ground level and fronted right on the street next to the main entrance. While street noise was not an issue, we did hear noise from other guests going in and out of the front door, and slamming it on the way. We also experienced two fire alarms during our stay due to other guests cooking in their kitchens. Since our windows looked right onto the street, privacy was a bit of a concern. The lower sections of the windows were frosted, but an adult of average height could still look in. We didn't want to keep the blind closed as we appreciated the view of the church tower over the buildings across the street. The owner was friendly and efficient. The apar**ent was comfortable and featured a kitchenette and large safe. We would consider staying here again, but would request a suite away from the front entrance.

This apar**ent in a traditional house was the perfect spot to explore Bruges. Set on an historic cobblestone side street with a view of a cathedral spire, we were right in the middle of medieval Bruges. We had a very nice standard ground floor apar**ent, quiet and private. Modern facilities, kitchenette, comfortable bed & a pleasant courtyard out the back. Easy walk to Grote Markt and other historic sites, we spent many hours exploring then walking back to the apar**ent for a rest. Really enjoyed our stay in your wonderful city, thanks Hans. The only thing I would add is Bruges is very busy at weekends. We found the weekday mornings best to avoid the crowds.

Right in the centre of the town, v close to all the key attractions. Easy 10 min walk from the rail station. From our apar**ent we had views of 2 of the key cathedrals / churches. Very clean and everything worked - no surprises. Owners were very pleasant and provided a useful Bruges guide book which we used extensively. Good (free) wifi. Eurosport was provided on the tv (useful if like me you watch snooker + cycling). Looked like there was free unfiltered coffee available each morning in reception - though we are quite private folks so did not partake! Many thanks for a great break
