Room size big. Comfortable bed. Normal toilet no bathtub. Got gym but no sauna. Nice rooftop swimming pool. Variety spread for breakfast. But as a new hotel, the vibe is only external. The interior design looks like a normal hotel with no modern or significant changes.

The hotel is quite new, and very close to the airport. The buffet breakfast is good. However, it seems the staff were not familiar with the system so the check-in took a long time. Besides, there were renovation noises at 8-9am in the morning upstairs which was a bit disturbing. Lastly, it can take a long time for deposits refund (3 days already and I haven’t received it)

We had a fantastic stay at Meritin Hotel Kuching! The hotel's location was perfect for our family trip. Many of Kuching's attractions are within walking distance, especially the beautiful waterfront, making it easy to explore the city without needing transportation. One of the biggest highlights was the abundance of traditional local shops and eateries nearby. We enjoyed strolling through the charming old streets, discovering heritage shophouses, local bakeries, souvenir stores, and authentic Sarawak cuisine. There were plenty of delicious options just a few minutes away, including Sarawak laksa, kolo mee, seafood, local desserts, and cozy cafés, so we were never short of great places to eat. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing place to unwind after a day of exploring. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to assist whenever we needed help. Overall, Meritin Hotel is an excellent choice if you want to experience the charm of old Kuching while enjoying modern comfort and a superb location. We had a wonderful stay and would gladly return on our next visit. Highly recommended!

To best describe this place, it's like a mini paradise atop a cliff overlooking the beautiful sea, with a twist of staying in large cylindrical concert culverts. You can easily spot it along the road to Damai with its large circular logo at its gate. It was closed upon my arrival at 3pm, but due to the main entrance being easily seen from the receptionist area, it didn't take long for them to open the gate, and I just drove right in. The receptionist was very polite and welcoming, decently professional as well, after checking us in we were given a quick tour around, highlighting the facilities and public areas. The room itself, being quite quirky in its own way, isn't too difficult to maneuver around, as long as you don't rush yourself and knock yourself around the relatively tiny room. Adequate steps are built to help climbing up and moving around, with simple storage spots around the bed, which by itself takes up about half of the room. The other side of the room is the bathing area, which I would say is surprisingly spacious enough to use. So a bed and a bathing area sums up the entire, unique cylindrical room. The hotel itself is nicely planned, guests can pamper themselves by picking their favorite spots located around the place, and enjoy a marvelous view of the sea. There's also a small private beach all the way down the cliff too. Facilities include swimming pools, sauna room, washer + dryer machines, gymnasium, library, etc. are pretty neat if you need them. I would say the place is great for couples, and a short refresher trip. I technically live in the city just half an hour drive away, but to catch a break from work and relax here for a day, I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat. Just make sure you've got the legs to climb up and down the place!

We had a lovely 3D2N mother-daughter and intergenerational friends’ stay at Cove 55, Santubong, and it was exactly the sort of peaceful break we were looking for. The grounds are beautiful and very calming, with a real sense of tranquility and serenity. The staff were lovely — warm, attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay. Our mothers are in their 80s, and the pace and setting were perfect for them. Two nights felt just right for a restful getaway. The room was spacious, bright and comfortable. The bed was firm and very comfortable, and the air-conditioning was powerful — an absolute godsend in the Santubong heat. The complimentary water, coffee and tea provided were adequate. The weather was generally nice, although scorching during certain parts of the day, so we were glad to have a cool room to retreat to. Our stay was simple and very enjoyable: we basically ate, chatted and swam. The food was good quality, with generous portions, and we were very satisfied with the meals. The place feels lived in rather than brand new, but it is respectably clean. I would not describe it as immaculate, but it is by far cleaner than many hotels and retreats in Kuching. The only thing I wish we had done differently was to request ground-floor rooms in advance. As our mothers are in their 80s, it would have been easier for them to avoid climbing the stairs. For anyone travelling with elderly guests or anyone with mobility concerns, I would suggest requesting ground-floor rooms when booking. Overall, Cove 55 is a beautiful, serene place for a quiet escape, especially for families or friends wanting to slow down and spend time together. I would happily recommend it.

La habitación es muy confortable y limpia. Nos sorprendió porque se concedieron mis solicitudes y pudimos celebrar una celebración de cumpleaños tarde para mi primo. La vista de la ciudad desde nuestra habitación es tan hermosa y podemos ver el sol.

La habitación era limpia, espaciosa y bien mantenida. El personal era amigable y siempre listo para ayudar. La ubicación también era muy conveniente. Estaría feliz de volver a estar aquí.

El Damai Beach Resort es perfecto para un corto paseo, con acceso directo a la playa, espaciosas habitaciones y vistas al sol maravillosos. La combinación de playa y bosque tropical crea un ambiente tranquilo que se siente refresco y único. Muy bueno para cualquiera que busque descanso y disfrute de una escape tranquila en Kuching. Definitivamente vale la pena para el escenario solo ✨
