An excellent stay on Shengshan Island. Before we even arrived, the owner already contacted us on WeChat with information about our stay and gave us very comprehensive tips for our stay. The hotel is very conveniently located, next to the boat port, the main entry onto Shengshan, and it is just across it. The owner was waiting for us when we arrived off the boat and helped us get our luggage. They have a very convenient luggage lift which means that you don't have to lug anything up the stairs. The hotel feels clean, luxurious, comfy and homely at the same time. It is a family run hotel and the reception is very warm. Our room was very clean and everything that was needed was provided. The view was spectacular from our room (image provided). The bed was very comfy and the lounger was perfect for watching the sea within the comfort of your room. The pool downstairs is great to cool off after a day out exploring. The breakfast provided was very nice and simple, some youtiao (Chinese fried dough, similar to churros), soy milk and sweet and savoury buns. All in all an excellent experience, and we thank the hosts for everything.

Everything was excellent! The hotel is very stylish, well maintained, clean. All is managed with love and care, every detail. Their sunsets are famous, but in 10 minutes of walk you'll also find a place to watch sunrise. The food is very tasty, too. However, what I would like to note paticularly, is the way they treat guests. All my questions were answered immediately, and they helped me a lot with booking the ferry tickets! The boss and all others are super helpful, nice and friendly! I stayed there only one night, but they treated me as if I were their favourite guest! Pick-up and transfer in the most convenient way, continuous contact via WeChat, preparing the dinner special for me and serving it outside - everything was done to make me feeling relaxed and happy. Tengo una sensacion agridulce El personal fue adorable Pero no funciona DiDi ni los taxis en la Isla y los precios son desorbitados (claramente un negocio cuando ven a un turista) Tampoco pudimos bañarnos ni ducharnos por problemas con las tuberías sucias ( el agua salía marrón…) En fin espero volver algún día y que la experiencia sea diferente.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel on Gouqi Island. The room offered a beautiful sea view, which made our stay especially relaxing and memorable. The location is also very convenient—just a short walk to a lively food street with plenty of dining options to choose from. What truly made this experience exceptional, though, was the owner’s kindness and hospitality. When we unfortunately fell ill during our stay, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and well taken care of. His support during that time meant a lot to us. He also kindly helped arrange transportation, which made everything much easier. To top it off, we were welcomed with a thoughtful gift at check-in, which was a lovely touch. I really can’t rate this hotel highly enough—both for the facilities and, most importantly, for the genuine care and generosity shown to us.

El hotel Sea Cliff nos ofrece una estancia agradable para el 1 de mayo. Eso es lo que me gustaba: - la compra de billetes de barco para las vacaciones de mayo fue imposible, comenzando con la App de Tickets no aceptando pasaportes extranjeros. - Ellos nos recogieron a la llegada y nos llevaron a la pierre de vuelta. - Hotel tiene una excelente ubicación de vistas al mar, muy tranquilas y habitaciones de centro marino, igual para restaurante - Todo es moderno, me gustaba específicamente la capacidad de compartir pantallas de Apple en la televisión en la habitación, gran manera de revisar fotos y ver sus propios filmes en la noche - buen desayuno 8 a 9AM, puedes venir a 8:45 y disfrutar de un desayuno tarde también; también tuvimos almuerzo tarde en el restaurante del hotel a la llegada, gran comida, grande para sentarse fuera, horas de trabajo flexibles (no cerrada 14-17!), En realidad me gustan sus comidas más que lo que teníamos en el restaurante de la playa principal, por fin la recepción puede beber un café aunque un poco caliente - hay 20 minutos a pie del hotel para una gran bahía y café para ver el sol, excelente experiencia y no hay necesidad de despertar temprano - El hotel siempre fue en línea en WeChat para abordar cualquier tema o pregunta, incluyendo cómo organizar un día, servicios fantásticos! - Hotel tiene una zona de playa privada, parece bien nadar, considero para el verano, el agua es limpia en la isla, y esto es sólo unas pocas horas de Shanghai - pequeño desventaja: los barcos de pesca pasan de la mañana temprana, esto puede perturbar su sueño de la mañana ;) - Otra cosa, la cama es un poco demasiado dura para mi espalda, pero ¿dónde viste camas suaves en China? ¡En general: muy recomendado!

Absolutely incredible stay! The best we’ve had in China. The hotel staff were very helpful and attentive. They formed a WeChat group to help us to communicate, order food, to if we had any questions. The food is absolutely top quality, huge portions and delicious,highly recommend having lunch or dinner here at least once (make sure to place your order 1 day in advance). Good breakfast, even though few European style options. The swimming pool is very clean and absolutely huge with amazing views over the sea and town. Room is very clean, service is good, ver Yu good quality shower gel and shampoo, and anything we needed was brought to us very quickly. The location is the best on the island - a little remote but along the most beautiful stretch of road. You can rent an e-bike right in the car park and the national parks are very close (10 minutes away). Very peaceful stay, felt very at home there. Our favourite feature was the amount to plants in the hotel - smell amazing and make it feel very welcoming. There is also access to a small beach - like your own private entrance to the sea.

One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh. First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle. The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got. They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai. Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure! Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

We only stayed for one day, but it was unforgettable. The view from the window and balcony was absolutely stunning. The room was very clean and well-maintained. There's a beach right next to the hotel where you can sit and watch the sunrise — pure magic. Quiet, peaceful, and beautiful. A special mention goes to Tao. He helped us with everything even though we were only there for one day. Such a kind, caring, and genuinely good person. When we were leaving, he personally helped us get to the ferry — we would have been lost without him.And I can't forget the cutie pie dog! I've never seen such a sweet dog in my life. As far as I understood, he's only staying there temporarily, but he made our stay even warmer and cozier. There are also great food options nearby, and the welcome we received was so warm. We will definitely come back — and next time for more than just one day
